Deserves it's own thread.

Alan Ruschel has survived as well as Jakson Follmann the reserve keeper.

Danilo who was sitting next to Ruschel on the plane, died in hospital.

The fate of the rest of the team is unconfirmed at this stage, the worst is feared.

RIP

reportedly one of the survivors, jakson follmann, has had both his legs amputated.

atletico nacional have released a statement declaring they believe chape are copa sudamericana champions.

palmeiras, the last team to play against chape, have requested to play their last game of the season in chape shirts.

coritiba, santos, sao paulo, portuguesa, palmeiras and corinthians have all pledged to loan chape league standard players. also a proposal to make sure chape are immune from relegation for 3 seasons.

Tancredi has been reporting everything on this tragedy:
"BREAKING NEWS: Colombian authorities:airplane was 5miles far from airport where had asked urgent permission to land due to electric blackout"

"BREAKING NEWS (2): Colombia nat.radio:ANOTHER flight asked emergency landing at same moment;had priority as first one didn't claim emergency"

Think I read Danilo managed to call his wife from the hospital and then passed away shortly afterwards.

What a tradegy - condolences to all the friends and family of the victims. :(

Apparently they were also dubbed the 'Brazilian Leicester' too - think they had achieved numerous promotions in a short period of time.

Had seen some of this reported, great show of respect from a number of clubs. Such an absolutely tragic event.

Think I heard they were in the 4th division a few years back.

So much of Sundays game was about Palmeiras but the commentator said a few times that we shouldnt forget what an amazing season in their history Chapecoense were having.
