I dont have a dog in this fight and i dont like to see any star player out of the game. From what i have seen this year he will get a week or 2 unfortunately. He left the ground and gave high contact. Only if they can argue he was going to smother and pulled out he may get off.

Yep. And he did get him high. My first reaction was it was maybe slightly worse than the Buddy one, not a lot of force it must be said, but I think deserves a week? No idea of his carryover points situation?

Considering Malceski went off the ground and was seen having his jaw looked at by the doctors on the sideline, and was later subbed out, then yes, he deserved a week.

Robbie Gray got straight back up and played the game out.

If Dawson got off for basically hitting Selwood in the head with his hip last week, then Chapman should get off this.

Dawson didn't have an alternative way of contesting the ball. Chappy was late and could have tackled. These are important factors and the injury isn't the only thing considered. Injury potential is and Chappy is lucky that Gray doesn't have a glass jaw.

Chapman hit Gray on his shoulder, not his head. Gray just threw his head back looking for a free, just like he dived in front of goal when he felt contact to his back by Josh Hunt earlier in the game.

I'll agree the photo does seem to suggest there was contact to the head, although still frame shots can distort things somewhat.

Chapman should argue he was trying to smother though. Worked for Dawson.

Firstly, Sttew and Winty is plural, so do rather than does.

Secondly has the game come to this - you have to find one still image to support your case? If you watch the footage without reducing it to a still image at a time there is no discernible head contact. Robbie Gray acts it up throwing his head back. Gets the free and that's the end of the matter as far as he is concerned
