Club doctors confirmed in the papers that Chapman has a form of OP and is going to have surgery on it in the next month. He has had it for about 12 weeks.
Good on him!
Been up and down the last 12 weeks for sure... but he timed it well to play a blinder in the game that mattered (not that he needed to).
Champion!
I have expressed my disenchantment with the way Chappy has played at times during the year and he definently wasnt at his best this year, but after hearing this i now understand why he wasnt playing at 100% and i admire the way he kept playing and gritted his teeth. Played a blinder in the granny and hopefully he can rid himself of OP during the off season.
On another note, has anyone heard of what if anything that Nathan had during the year as to me, he seemed to be playing injured during the year and i noticed on Sat that he had quite a bit of strapping around his ankles. He at times during the year did look quite lame when running and maybe this is why?
Let's hope the surgery will take care of that, then!
Frankly, I am not surprised that it is the case, given all his issues with time in and out of the team and some of his problems getting back into the swing of it.
