Just heard from a very reliable source that Chappy will not take to the field tomorrow.

Not good for those of us with him.

Are you prepared to name the source or is he/she 'anonymous', if so this rumor should be taken with a grain of salt. However your a veteran poster so I certainly do believe you but not so sure about the person whom told you.
 
I understand your skepticism given the amount of rumours that fly around here, but I can say that this person works at the club.

I am not prepared to name names because I don't want any reprecussions. Just thought people might like to know in advance so they have a chance to alter their teams if they see fit.

I have never posted any rumours on this site before and have nothing to gain in making something up.

But as I said, I understand that people will be cautious.

I think it's fairly obvious that you can't go around naming those type of sources!

Yeah I always knew he wasn't going to name him, worth a try! :D

Lets just hope its not a Goddard all over again. Its not going to influence my trades this week, however I'll be expecting him not to play this week.

Thanks for the information in advance PowerOfThePussy, if we received this kind of information with L.Anthony debacle, just think about how many teams would be better off! :thumbsu:
 
It's not that hard to get.

Chappy regularly gets injrued... hence why i didn't get him from the beginning....


If you don't trust PowerOfThePussy then just waite till tomorrow when geelong play and if chappy isn't out then we will know why...

Potp said he definately is not taking to the field, so if he is onfield then its battleaxes out towards potp and he shall never listen to him every again..


On a side note, can we just create a general rumours thread to be stickied? And the first post can just contain people ho have come up with rumours here.. just as a sort of watchlist..

That way we can easily see who has realiable sour es and whos sources are just mr ******* on local raidio...attempting to pull in ratings

I agree with the creating a stickied rumor thread. I'm sure we have a lot of angry SCers looking for the person who created "Goddard is injured" post round 1 lockout. :D

Tomorrow will be too late to put trust in as lockout would have already begun, I don't want to try and cover Chapman as it will mess with my trading plans, so I'm prepared to cop the zero, already had to trade out Ziebell to cover for Higgins/Skipworth.

I have also heard he wasn't right after the Sydney game... I watched the Sydney game last week and remember that he after the pack cleared he was holding his groin area? But he continued after but his running action was different, and played on. I didn't think he would miss, but am not surprised now, so I cant say I don't believe you, Cats fans never lie;)
 
It would be nice if you actually provide us with the information as to why exactly he isn't out. Like what injury?

I probably shouldn't have even really posted the thread in hindsight, but I just thought fellow supercoaches had a right to know beforehand that he wasn't playing. Exactly what the injury is, we will find out in due course.
 
I know it's a risk listening to an anonymous source; but just keep it to 'I believe you' or 'I don't'.
Start threatening the person's credability, start trying to moderate sources and soon, nobody will bother sharing their insider informantion and you'll find yourselves missing out on valuable insider knowledge.
After all they're not obliged to share it with you. They're being generous by sharing the information with you.

I personally wont blame ya if he does take the field - You heard something, and you thought you are helping dude.

(My opponent has him and you have given me more confidence lol)

Excellent point, this kind of information is invaluable as it is always kept in-house for each respective club. Usually when you find this information out is pre-game or in an article a day or so after lockout.
 
I don't have him but I am surprised. He lloks like a rock this year.

People shouldn't get too worried, Geelong will 'rest' plenty this year.

Just leave him in and have a reserve selected if you are hesitant.

Yeah, great thanks Vinum. Forwards - Higgins, Ziebell, Chappy, Skipworth out. Maybe Fev can be late withdrawal to really stuff my team!:mad:
