Port has a core of 50+ game players now, those players need to go onfield, play, eat, breathe, live, sleep, drink, fight and everything else the PORT way now, they are now our heart and soul, and they must show the way for the new boys, they are the ones who are now the role models, they MUST lead, they MUST fight for recognition as a true AFL power.
Port Adelaide has a destiny within the AFL, well the boys now need to be men, and we need to forcibly take our destiny within our own hands and say F**K it, F**K all other teams, PORT ADELAIDE now must take it's place as the POWER of the AFL, in deed, not just name only

Spot on Chris. As we know, the only thing that has counted over the years at Alberton is winning games of footy.

At the moment the Power are treated with contempt by supporters of most other clubs (just read some of the drivel on these boards) and unfortunately it's not the sort of contempt that SANFL also-ran supporters feel for the Magpies - that's pure envy.

It's obviously going to be a lot harder to gain respect in the AFL, but if Power stick to the Port Adelaide creed success and respect will result. And weed out those players that can't live up to it.
