Charging vs Striking

I heard on the 7pm news on 3AW that the umpire changed his report on Mark Johnson from Striking to Charging Shannon Grant on Friday night.

What is more serious of the two?

The question should be, "Why is Johnson even facing up to the tribunial?". I saw the footage tonight and it just seemed to me that he executed a very good hip and shoulder....nothing different to what the likes of Pickett, Archer, Schwass etc. have dished out over the years.

p.s. Striking is the more serious of the two charges, but it was clear that Johnson did not strike Grant.

Didn't see the incedent at the game - watched the replay and thought yeah might be worth a look (wasn't totally convinced!)

Woke up on Saturday and saw that Johnson was reported for STRIKING and thought forget it - no way that it was a strike - the maggots f@ck up again!!
