News Update: Charles Cameron traded to Brisbane for Pick 12

Reid also asked for pick 1. Zorko... pick 1 ... these are completely unrealistic. I can't see a trade being done this year. You guys should remember same time next year what was offered and rejected ... (pick 12)
Was 12 actually offered?

Rocky was a poor trainer with high skinfolds who was a bad influence on younger players and contributed to the exodus of some of our players.
He refused to go much above a jog during games.
He needed to go so we could start afresh.
He also has great inherent skills and I think given a new start will return to being a great player - just not with us...

Don’t tell those flogs down at Port about that....they’ve got the Premiership won already!!

God forbid we want to keep a player to give us a better shot at winning the premiership next year rather than a draft pick that will likely have 0.0 benefit to us next year. We aren’t here to bow to your demands for him to be traded because it suits your club. Now **** off *******.

Which is exactly why we shouldn't be pissed at SOS in regards to Gibbs last year.

Hmn... should be a perfect fit with our across town colleagues - he would have keeled over with us. :)

Gibbs wasn't going to help them with a flag push in 2017 though

Who says 12 was offfered and rejected. 12 gets it done for mine.

Were the Lions ahead of the Broncos?

Would have thought the Broncos would be huge in Brizzy

During the Lions heyday they actually had bigger crowds and membership but have fallen well behind now. A lot of people in Brisbane actually hate the Broncos as they have a monopoly on a huge rugby league city. (Think Crows with no Power) , don't have a draft so have a stockpile of young players always coming through plus the stay home factor means they can keep their Queensland players at a lower wage. Plus Wayne Bennetts a dick

You're probably right. It would be just like when WWF bought up WCW. Without the competition, they got stale.

I've seen this s**t happen in the videogame industry too. Squaresoft merged with their major competitor Enix and the quality of their games dropped massively as a result. Probably made sense from a business point of view but it sucks for people who used to like their games.

Competition is a good thing for consumers.

Left field...Is it worth seeing if Gold Coast would do Cameron for Sam Day trade? Give Cameron the choice to live (near) Brisbane if he's really that homesick.

Certified campaigner.. Tell this turkey CC's contracted and the AFL can GAGF.

Edit : And Weller's contracted too..

So it's okay for Carlton to play hardball over a contracted Gibbs (fair enough) but we should rollover and Let a contracted Charlie, who kicked five in a prelim, leave? These media scum need to gagf.

Because our trading strategy is to add more experience. Not swap it.

So when you go to buy a new car and the dealer says that will be $50k you tell him that you only have a jar of Vegemite and thats all you can give. If you want that car you have to pay the asking price. Its you guys who have asked for Charlie so you have to meet our expectations. If we were trying to sell Charlie then we would have to meet your expectations.

If you truly want Charlie all we want is a player that will fit into our top 22. If you dont have that then you should never have initiated Charlies move. We dont have to understand you desire not to swap.

Lions have been a basket case of a Club for a while now.

So when a player comes out and says they want to play for them, the Lions should rightfully pay overs.

Lets not forget, this player is contracted, fast, explosive and a great tackler and has a wealth of finals experience under his belt.

That Lions poster on here needs a BIG reality check.
