I already like my bet on the VFL Flag - imagine him in the midfield in the VFL with Kiel, Gore, Tsitas, and which ever mids on the senior list that do time in the VFL? Eg. Rotations of Parsons, Parfitt, Fogarty, GHS, etc.

Plenty of upside but i felt he was a reasonable chance to play early before the draft ..although in our group its tough get a spot. The main aim for min is to have a strong player for 2-3 years time.

the advantage of that is you have pre draft bias. His GF sold me... he basically won the game for his side..if only his team mate had kicked the goal from the goal square.

My only concern about the VFL premierships, is whether O'Bree is a good enough coach, I think the cattle is good enough to be Top 4 at least.

Touted as another ‘super draft’ but so was the 2017 draft 12 months out. The top end talent looks very good though - the King brothers, Lukosius, and Rankine.

If i recall the draft correctly, and I may not, but Wells put in the Chook pick pretty quickly. Dont think there was much hesitation

It was an interesting way the players we took fell to us. Club stated that they didn’t have much depth of knowledge on Fogarty as they assumed him to be long gone by the pick, Kelly I think was always earmarked for our second pick before west coast had their bunch of second rounders. I wouldn’t have been surprised to see the club pull he trigger on Constable or McCartin had Fogarty not been available.

Honestly thought most of his possessions had little to no positive impact whatsoever, handballing to a stationary teammate does mothing but cause a stoppage or turnover.

Lot of people here see the possession count and time on ground and get ahead of themselves.

Seems like he was BOG or near enough almost every game in his draft year.
It was our luck he got to P22, but then to ignore him till P37 was just a fluke.
About time we got lucky.

Played mainly HBF in the TAC Cup once overage player Hamish Brayshaw came back into the team. Still averaged 23 disposals and was named in the best players in 4/9 games.
