Neither was Sloane but that didn't stop Adelaide handing him a 5 year contract.
Sloane is cooked now let alone in 2023.
Only GC/GWS have also been able to lay claim to that in recent times.
For that reason Adelaide deserve credit.

When a guy decides to leave you have to cash in. Got pick 12. Would we rather he stayed? Sure. But he left because he wanted to go and would have been gone 12 months later regardless. Don't buy into the media revisionist narrative that Adelaide showed all these players the door.
