OK. So to re-phrase it, if they give him an opportunity as a defender, it'll mean he hasn't taken his opportunity as a forward.Semantics. Some choose to see failure, I see players taking their opportunities.

Collingwood defender Charlie Dean (1/12/21)
The two factors that have helped him settle in at Collingwood, his excitement to be taught the game plan, how his experience as a forward has taught him when to drop off and when to defend, the understated Magpie veteran who commands his teammates' respect, and more.player.whooshkaa.com

We gotta get to work on the nicknames. Dean Ween? Jimmy Dean? The Deaninator (or other Community-related puns)? Maybe Coke Principal?
I think Howe’s move back was more out of need to reinforce our defence due to injuries, than any failure as a forward. No, he is not.
He is much more likely to end up as a forward BECAUSE THAT'S THE POSITION HE WAS RECRUITED TO PLAY.
If Howe had kicked 6 goals a game on debut as a forward for Collingwood, he would never have become an intercepting defender.
It doesn't mean the switch to defence was a failure, for chrissake, it means his short career as a forward for us was.
If it hadn't been, he'd still be one.
This really isn't hard to understand
Our first Charlie since James "Charlie" Manson.
Sounds like mihocekGiven he was a forward in his junior days, that makes sense lol But wasnt good enough I guess to be drafted in that role, so when heading to the VFL, they played him in defence which got him noticed
Sounds like mihocek
Same as Ben Reid. No big deal.OK. So to re-phrase it, if they give him an opportunity as a defender, it'll mean he hasn't taken his opportunity as a forward.
Agreed.Same as Ben Reid. No big deal.
Perfect for our AFLW team.I was informed by a mate that Charlie Dean was not only captain of football at Wesley College, but captain of cricket and the school itself. We need leadership that's for sure.
Rebel or WilsonWe gotta get to work on the nicknames. Dean Ween? Jimmy Dean? The Deaninator (or other Community-related puns)? Maybe Coke Principal?
Girls are tougher than boys.Perfect for our AFLW team.
Only kidding.
It was great Wesley finally brought boys into the school.
He's both to his matesDeano or Chaz, Chaz seems to be what the club is running with in this article
Career defining switch to backline for Dean
Charlie Dean was set to start a full-time internship on Monday but Collingwood's recruiting team had other plans.www.collingwoodfc.com.au
Unless you count Sam Murray’s mate Charlie. Our first Charlie since James "Charlie" Manson.
Or Nathan Buckley's and Dane Swan's medals.Unless you count Sam Murray’s mate Charlie.
Would be a worry if he was from a boys school with such a bad rep like St Kevin’sPerfect for our AFLW team.
Only kidding.
