I didn't disagree, in fact on my figures I agree with both statements, but you know, occasionally old Heathy might say "hey this boy goes good."

PFFFT, your ratings are flawed and too involved and make my brain hurt so I choose to flippantly reject them. I'm a big believer on forming an opinion, then watching the race and having my already decided opinion fit around what I don't see.

You're probably not as experienced as me but I KNOW FOR A FACT that times, weights and measures and other buzzwords are just white noise that stop people backing winners. Don Scott is an old Kook and you probably have a framed picture of his stupid Colonel Sanders looking head on your bedside table, so you can look at him lovingly when you wake up every morning.

I could have beaten home Chattanooga or whatever her name is on my grandmas scooter, to my eye she was only passing tiring horses anyway.

If I could say it about lots of horses I would say it about lots of horses but I don't. His sustained closing speed is freakish and quite simply one of the most talented horses we have ever seen in that aspect.

Too bad his first 600m are so horribly slow then I guess.

Gerard Whately declared the win the most exhilarating win since Kiwi in '83. Big call from the man that runs caviars fan club.

Good to have him on board. Also gets points for backing him and not losing the faith that he is still an exceptional race horse.

Obviously hasn't watched much racing outside the Cav for the last 30 years

Certainly was one of the most exhilarating runs I've ever seen, not that my racing knowledge goes back anywhere near 1983.

I think it compares to Black Caviar's first TJ, when she trailed Haylist and then cornered like a shopping trolley. Gave him 4 lengths head start but still blew by him like he was nailed to the fence.

Edit: Compares in terms of excitement & exhilaration. Not comparing the horses.

If you weren't more exhilarated when Makybe Diva burst clear at the 300 in the 2005 Melbourne Cup you should ban yourself from the punting board.

My mate who backed English agrees with you. He did not think it was exhilarating in the slightest!

I don't find stayers very exciting. Give me a 955m at the valley on a Friday night anytime. You cant win a car winning one of those plodder Melbourne Cups.

exactly, why would i watch a good mare beat up a bunch of australian staying handicappers when i can watch the worlds best sprinter at his absolute electrifying best.

Why hasn’t the trainer done some private barrier trials and hit him with the higher ffs? He will never not jump again if they did that to him!

I've no idea what any of that meant after " Barrier trials "

For some reason BigFooty has censore the word (ji gger) and changed it to higher. Give the horse a jolt of electricity when the barriers open and he won’t do it again.

NEVILLE !!!!
I should report you to the ****en RSPCA you idiot !!!!

Isn’t that, you know, illegal?
They do it and it works.

I used to back this horse about 20 years ago that went for a spell and when it came back it kept missing the start by about 10 lengths because it wouldn’t jump. It did this in its first three starts from a spell. It started its fourth run back at odds of 25 to 1. I put 10 each way on it. It jumped with them and sat one out and one back. I was already lined up in the winners queue to collect. Four or five days later I told my Dad about it and he said the horse had to jump successfully before that last start and that the trainer put a battery in the whip. It only took one jolt and the horse never did it again. They took it to Eagle Farm next start and it won the Country Cup over 1400m at 10 to 1.

What is the RSPCA going to do? I’ve never done anything like this. I’m not involved with horses at all.

And then his car was set on fire.
