I'll be jumping on the Robbie Gray band wagon again next year.

Was great for me when I picked him up late in the season. :thumbsu:
Under priced too, due to his three sub games. I'm considering him, but really depends if Rocky, Thomas and Stevie J keep DPP.

Where do u guys see nic nat in your team.
Fwd or ruck

Slak,

I tend to think my team would have pure mids & rucks, ie no DPP players

But in Def & Fwd, there would be a fair sprinkling of DPP's (ie Goddard, Bartel, SJ etc.),

So, I would have NicNat as a fwd, with a rookie Ruck DPP in R4 (such as McBean) who is unlikely to play,

This would give the Capt loophole + Ruck coverage from fwd,

Usually hard to find worthwhile rookie rucks so R4 is ok to 'use' for this,

FWIW,

Tim tam,
Happy with honeychurch I bet

Happy with him, but I don't really see a place for him in the team. I'm sure he'll force his way in because he will attack the contest hard, and got good skills and is a goalkicker. Will need to bulk up a bit or he'll get pushed around far too easily though, but I reckon he'll be pretty good. Not many expectations for him next year though.

Jack steven looks good, priced well, low break even (if it carries over)
Will get alot more attention with no nicky dal.
Anyone heard roo alot leaner ready to play in the midfield.
Read it the other day.
Can anyone confirm?

Has been mentioned on Saints board, off twitter somewhere,

Might be just to take pressure off his knees, can't really see him playing in midfield at this stage of his career,

Too many young & developing mids, not as many fwds, as well at Saints,

Jack Steven massive upside indeed, runs hard in the same model as Dane Swan.

His numbers will only get better IMO.

No Dal Santo though anymore at the Saints to cop the tag every week. o_O

Tag will be going to Steven instead I reckon.

I think Steven is more of an upgrade target. See how he copes with a heavy tag next season. :thumbsu:

true on the tagging side, but he isnt the sort of bloke who can be tagged easily.
Dal Santo was softer than butter in the middle of the sahara, if a shadow went near him you could hear the pooh run down his leg.

I think Montagna might cop the tag next season

Midfield is going to be interesting next season.

You don't want too many round 8 bye players so its going to force coaches to go with Blues and Doggies players aswell since they have the round 9 bye.

My midfield is always changing nearly every week.

Have something like this at the moment -

Ablett, Pendles, Beams, Watson, Murphy, Griffen/Libba, Martin, Crouch (Rookie, Rookie)

Dangerfield and J.Selwood will be my early upgrade targets.

Thoughts Toxic? ;)

I wont be starting with GAJ & Pendles and Beams together, ( the rd 8 hit is chaotic)
I do like Griffen & Stevens,
MMurphy and Beams represent the value.
Watson is locked for me
KJack is another i really want
Jelwood ??
Stevie J ??
No hawks
No Roos
No West Coast
No Docker mids
Travis Boak??

Jesus its too early for this many headaches already.

I will be starting with at least 6 premiums, if not 7

Gartlett from da hawks and his Rd 9 bye appeals for a rookie

MCrouch falling outside top 20 in draft will mean he will be cheaper than originally thought! :thumbsu:

Should be right to go from rd 1, hopefully,

I could easily select both Crouch boys, altho they fit into the Rd 8 bye chaos

K.Jack is actually a good pick for a mid with round 10 bye, Steven too if he can handle a tag.

Its all about trying to find that right balance I reckon in terms of premium mids within the bye rounds.

I'm kinda thinking of starting M.Murphy till at least round 9 and if he is stinking it up by then I can trade him out for a round 8 bye player like Selwood or Dangerfield. :D:thumbsu:

exact same thought, except i can upgrade him to a GAJ or Pendles perhaps

Yeah spot on Toxic, its a great plan mate. :thumbsu:

On the other hand though lets just play Devils Advocate and say that M.Murphy is killing it and you don't have Ablet and Pendles yet who are killing it too.

How do you then manage to get those 2 guns into your team?

I would have another plan B if I were you to t least get one of those guys in by round 9-10. :D
