There's a new free game on PC from the makers of 'Explodemon' called 'Stealth Bastard: Tactical Espionage arseh*le' (possibly the greatest name for anything...ever lol) that's a lot of fun. It's a full game and even has downloadable levels from in-game, an in-game level editor, native controller support and leaderboards.

Here is the trailer:

and here is the site to download it from: http://www.stealthbastard.com/

Considering it'll run on pretty much anything, everyone should give it a go. I'm sure it wouldn't have had many problems selling well had they asked $5 on Steam for it... the only thing they've added to reap some reward from their work is an Explodemon ad at the end (which the makers have asked people to buy if they liked SB).

New Humble Bundle, this time it's a more Strategy based bundle (which sadly I really don't like the look of any games except for Aquaria, the bonus if you pay over the average - which I don't know if I care THAT much about to buy it).

http://www.humblebundle.com/

You get Darwinia, Multiwinia, DEFCON, Uplink and if you pay more than the average (get in now if you want to pay less and not over $5 in a few days - currently only $3.62) then you get Crayon Physics Deluxe and Aquaria.

They're really bringing these Bundles fast and strong, the last one only ended a little over a week ago! And it's now 3 Bundles in just 2 months compared to the first 4 Bundles more than a year apart from first release to 4th.

Steam Autumn sale started earlier today (PC/Mac). 1600+ games on sale, and daily sales on top of that.

http://store.steampowered.com/

Today's daily sales (US Dollars)....

 • Call of Duty: Black Ops - $44.99
 • Duke Nukem Forever - $16.99
 • Dejobaan Complete Pack - $9.99
 • Mass Effect - $4.99
 • Mass Effect 2 - $4.99
 • Mass Effect 2 Digital Deluxe Edition - $9.99
 • Men of War Complete Pack - $18.74
 • Men of War: Vietnam - $8.74
 • The Oddboxx (Oddworld Collection) - $3.74
 • Orcs Must Die! - $3.74
 • Portal 2 - $10.19
 • Renegade Ops - $9.99
 • Sam and Max Complete Pack - $12.49
 • Test Drive Unlimited 2 - $4.99

(Also check in those packs - the individual games are on sale too)

Orcs Must Die, Portal 2, Oddbox, Mass Effect 2 probably the stand out prices for mine.

COD:BO, typical of Activision is still expensive with only 50% off on a 1+ y.o. game, on top of their price gouging Aussies (non-sale price is stil $90 for AU, or $60 for the US)

NOTE: As with all Steam sales consisting of daily sales on top of a longer term sale, it's best to not buy anything which isnt on daily sale until the last day of sales, as there is a chance the game you want will come up for a daily sale.

This site is handy for seeing the all the games on sale (can sort by % off)

Damn it...

I just know I'm going to buy more games that I'll probably never play or even download. Most of the games from last years Christmas sales remain undownloaded.

Fallout: NV is tempting but I seriously don't think I'll ever get round to playing it.

Decided to post in here as it relates to cheap gaming.

Looking for a 360 or a PS3 for Christmas for my girlfriend and I to play with. I sold my 360 in February as I figured I was heading overseas.

Aside from getting a pre-played machine from eBay does anyone know the best place to purchase a good cheap deal? Not fussed about a pre-played machine as I have a friend who can fix them.

Too bad OzGameShop doesn't sell consoles (or I can't find them on site) as they have some great cheap game deals.

Is https://www.ebgames.com.au/xbox360-999670-Xbox-360-250GB-Console--4-Games-Deal-1-Xbox-360 (250gb, Halo Reach, Fable III, Forza 3 UE and Gears of War 2 GOTYE) the best deal right now?

I think it may be the cheapest deal out there. The best thing about our deals at EB right now is that you can pick up some great games for $48 when you buy a console like Fifa 12, Skyrim and Batman AC. Anyway you can get those games for $48 is an awesome deal

JB have the same price but only the Reach and Fable games that are in the box with the 3 months Live. So they are 2 games short there

Game's deal is the same as JB's but for $398

Kmart's is $449 with 4 games (but 1 of them is Gears 1)

So yeah, EB is cheapest.

Jb have the 4gb consoles tomorrow night for $169 http://www.jbhifi.com.au/ggf/

H/N have the 4gb console for $158 untill tomorrow http://www.harveynorman.com.au/xbox-360-slim-4gb-console-black.html

If you go with an 360 deal that has Kinect you can get $50 cashback http://www.kinectoffer.com.au/

If it's a PS3 you want you can grab the 160gb models for around $280 from H/N, JB and BigW

I wouldn't bother with a 4GB, you'll just end up upgrading to a bigger HD later anyway

Can always upgrade the hdd if needed, and it would be cheaper than a bundle with some shitty games that you never play and only get $5 each if you trade them in.

Not much cheaper, plus then you have to do a transfer too.

Plus you get 3 months XBL with the 250GB's at the moment too

Gears 2, Reach, Fable 3 and Forza 3 are not terrible games either

Thanks guys - was at JB HiFi earlier and saw that they have a one day only sale (till late tonight) for $278 their 360 250GB Slim w/ Halo Reach and Fable III - no Forza or Gears of War 2 but still a great deal.

Come home to find that someone bought a deal at Harvey Norman for me too *sigh* - so I guess a 4GB 360 Slim will be returned to Harvey Norman on Saturday. If, before then, somebody would like the 4GB Slim for the paid for $158 - never taken out of the box, full receipt, etc. (comes with no games) - please PM me and we can arrange it.

Thanks again for your help, especially sacka who put me onto checking out JB. The deal I got isn't advertised so may not be for all stores but is on at Sunshine definitely with about half a dozen or so machines left.

Nice information and thanks for sharing this information about this game which is very informative to me and here is a large collection of games.

I don't get Marshall's motive here...

If it's just spam; it's not doing a very thorough job. There doesn't seem to be any advertising links anywhere either which is perplexing.

Just picked up an Xbox 360 + Kienct from EB Games for $348 ($298 with rebate) which is pretty good. I was going to get it from JB Hi-Fi for $378 but they hadn't opened yet so I went to EB to see if they would price match and noticed the price was cheaper. Lucked out there :thumbsu:

Steam daily sales are far too tempting. Grabbed Orcs Must Die! plus DLC for $5.50 or something.

Best deals i can see so far:

360 + 6 games and 3 months XBL for $348 (1 hour only)

The rest are for the full 24 hrs

Batman AC: $55
Dead Island $42
Fifa 12 $58
Forza 4 $48
Deus Ex $28
NBA 2K12 $44
TB X41 7.1 surround headset $144
