Oh and BTW, for anyone in a band or who has mates in a band, we have been given 20 hours recording time at a studio in Melbourne. The regular price if you were to go the studio independently is $700, but we are looking to sell it to a band/artist for around $500. All offers will be considered though as we wish to sell it pretty quickly. The studio is called Pots & Pans Studios and is situated in Hawthorn, if you wish to check out their website at:
http://www.potsandpans.net.au/

Spread the word, I'm sure a band/artist somewhere could use some affordable recording at a quality studio for a demo or short EP.

Na mate that was us, did a Halloween gig for our mates on the organising committee. Wasn't too bad actually.

Must have completely missed this post...

You guys went to Sacred Heart I'm lead to believe? Read an article in The Leader about your band and immediately thought back to Bigfooty.

Hope you guys make it.. Really like the tunes:thumbsu:

Our album - The Chaos Rebellion - just got reviewed by the critics at Metal Obsession...have a read: http://www.metalobsession.net/ayera-the-chaos-rebellion

I agree with the reviewer in so much that you can now look to broaden your sound a little that you have gotten the EP out of the way. Easy listening and melodic. Vocals could go up a notch in terms of intensity IMO at certain strategic points in the songs. This genre is pretty stagnant at the moment so you might need to inject something extra in there somewhere..but nice stuff all up.

Stay way way away from any clean vocals (and anything In Flames/Soilwork et al are now doing).

Thanks mate, yeah we did go to SHC. Appreciate the support, things are going well at the moment, PUSHOVER was pretty hectic and recording a single for the cover of Blunt Magazine atm, so stay posted for that. :)

Thanks mate, completely agree. The new single we've recorded for Blunt Magazine will be online in the next week or so, and it is a MASSIVE step up from the EP. Vocals in particular are far more emotional/intense so give it a quick listen once it's online. I'll post a link up here when it's up. Would love to hear your thoughts on the new direction and the preview for our first full length album later this year.

Hey guys, for anyone interested, Ayera have just released their brand new single "Envisionary" which will be released with Blunt Magazine in the coming months: www.myspace.com/ayerametal - check it out!

Pretty good man but it seems to lose a lot of momentum going from the intro to the first verse, seems to be a product of the level that vocals are in the mix. Vocals just seem bit to high and takes away from what else is going on.

I listened to 'Scatter', song sounds sick, what kind of programs and synths are you using?
Cheers for checking it out :D
I use either Garageband or Cubase depending on my mood at the time.
I use HaLion One synth with some tweaks usually, but I'm not sure exactly what I did on 'Scatter'.
