The energy and passion generated by the CS this season will, in my humble opinion, be a potent weapon in our armoury of support in our games, particularly at " the dome we call home ". We all know that dear old Joffa is the " face " of the Collingwood Cheer Squad, and gets all the publicity etc, but honestly? With the greatest respect, anyone can wear a gold jacket and sit on the front row. The energy and passion displayed throughout the WHOLE match by our CS leaders is amazing! Joffa may get the headlines and media treatment, but OUR girls and boys BARRACK! (and good on 'em I say!)

Had ANOTHER great match day experience in the goal zone today! Met Mark from the CS and bumped into my good pal Joe Dooley ( the dribbler ! ) gee Carlton gave us a fight, but by gum, those girls and boys in the Cheer Squad never lowered THEIR colours! Not once! Was great meeting you, was a good win.

Absolutely buggered as I usually am after the game, but am so energized with excitement at the same time. I am definitely going to have a good sleep tonight. Good to have the adjoining bays join in with us to make us sound louder and it gives me chills at the times when the game is there to be won how loud it is at the ground.

It looked to me as if they focused on the bigger picture, which I don't mind as long as it pays off, next two weeks before the bye are crucial and I will be doing my part to get them over the line (luckily I won't need to kick any goals)
 
A really great job again CS.......especially with a very tense/close game.....I too was wasted after that....there was no petrol left in the tank at the end.

Your noise levels were off the chart.....fantastic effort.

The atmosphere was electric after Steele slotted the sealer.

I spotted jiggsteR on the way out.....easily done now after his massive exposure on last weeks replay..........great hat BTW jiggsteR.

I said to one of the group..."there's jiggsteR"

She looked at me and said "who"

Long story....lol.
 
Is the slow chant after the match still coming from the speakers and has the crowd been getting in to it at least?

It's been sounding great on the TV either way. Awesome to hear it in the background when they are interviewing a player straight after the match.

It's definitely coming out of the speakers. People are slowly getting into the idea of clapping and chanting though.

It's amazing to hear this type of feedback considering how much negativity has been directed to the Cheer Squad for over 20 years, including from myself which is why I wanted to join. Imagine if we had 300 people chanting at that intensity? We would really make people stand up and take notice.
 
Just here to say that I really liked the Billings banner. I can't get to many games so I don' t get to see the banners that often. Perhaps you could get the mods to post a photo's on the game review thread.

I still want to get that song "Saints are coming" played as they enter the arena, they could remix it up but at around the one minute mark it really builds up and would sound awesome. It's a pretty commercial version so won't scare old ladies.

I'd love the club to do their own version of this, similar to how the Western Bulldogs have their song they play before games except less cringeworthy haha. As an amateur musician it would be great for the club to get the community involved, I for one would love to be involved in something like this or for anyone to be, really. Was disappointed when they stopped the Saints Unplugged series, that was great.
