Hi I am Szymon,19 years old guy from Poland and I love Australian Football because it is the best sport that I have ever seen. I discovered this sport 2 years ago at Eurosport and now every Saturday I watch AFL. My favorite team is GWS Giants because it is the newest team in the AFL and now the weakest but I hope that they can win a few matches in this season and in the next they will fight for top 8. Also I like North Melbourne because Will Sierakowski playing there and he have Polish ancestry. I joined this forum because I want learn more about GWS and Aussie Rules.
Unfortunately, in Poland does not have any Footy fans but for example Rugby or American Football have. I hope I will learn a lot here about Australian Football.

The famous Aboriginal Krakouer brothers Jim and Phil had a distant Polish ancestor.

Yes enjoy the game and tell your friends! Maybe if you can buy a ball from the Internet and get some friends togehter - you never know what will come of it. That is how Australian Football started in places like Denmark and England!

I had no idea. I was there a few months ago at the air show, and watched a couple of nab cup games. it was my first live game ever, so exciting. Love the cats as well, shame they lost to pies. If you ever come down to Sydney and have a spare moment and me too will it be possible to catch up so you could show and teach me a few tips and tricks? I am hopeless and shit at footy as I am trying to learn it on my own.
