I was wondering what your club does before the game to rev the crowd up - over here we have the 'ANZ.com Dancers' (replacing the Town and Country Bank Eaglettes) who dance to the eagles theme and throw their pom-poms in the air and scream with delight. And in Round 2 - Ken Judge came on the big screen and asked the crowd to cheer loudly - which was quite embarressing.

My team needs cheergirls at the Gabba. That would be cool.
The cheersquad in Melbounre are hopeless. They act like they run the club. Putting stuff on the club forum that they are the President etc etc. They even went to the media and the AFL earlier in the year, behind the clubs back. Hows that for stupidity and being power hungry.The issue had already been dealt with by the club and they didn't like the answer so they ignored the club.
Cheersquads should be about people supporting the players, not wanting to bonk them also.
