Excited as **** about tomorrow night. See you there Hatchy and Pants who's an honourary Chelsea supporter for the night
Wow. So bloody excited. This time tomorrow night we'll be having a celebratory beer (or a few) watching our beloved Football club.

I for one can't wait to see Hazard glide past defenders in person and not just on TV.

Heading to the game tonight after seeing the Chelsea players at the airport on Sunday.

Made me realise imagine being a football player. Getting swamped everywhere you go, hot chics wanting your attention, treated like royalty. But in a way it could be a bad thing because of the attention and not being able to live a 'normal' life.

Should be a great game tonight. I expect the game to be cagey, Sydney I think will be happy to lose 0-1 or 0-2.(anything better they will take with a smile) I mean I was in Melbourne in 2013, when Victory lost 0-2, it still felt like a win for Victory that night , given the way they played and the fact they gave them a contest.

Well he actually was the best player on the pitch up until he got withdrawn, and no one really did much after he went off. So it kinda makes sense haha. His reaction to it was priceless tho :D

My thoughts on the match/occasion:

- Sydney played bloody well. I think their fans will be wondering where that was on GF day against MV. Defended well and looked good in attack, ball just didn't fall for them when they needed it to. In saying that, we were clearly tired. Long season plus all the flying done in the last 72-96 hours sorta took it's toll on us towards the end. And not having Fabregas there to unlock the defense just really makes a big difference. I'm certain that if he played we would have scored one or two more, but not to be. Hazard had a good match but as usual just needs to finish better. Had a chance to do so towards the end but passed it off to Christensen (?) who's obviously not the man you want to be scoring the goals. Cech also had a good game in what may well be the last time we see him in a Chelsea shirt.

- Jim Wilson + Emerton & Moore for Channel 7 = absolutely useless. Mispronouncing names left right and centre. Who's Jose Moreno, Jim?... Any relation to the Liverpool player? And their general analysis of Chelsea's season and what not was pretty average. But I absolutely could not believe my ears when one of Moore or Emerton (not sure who) - in response to Jim bringing up the speculation about Diego potentially being unsettled and wanting to leave - responded with 'well money talks'. Yep cos money is the reason he'd be leaving Chelsea
Do some bloody research you kents. It's obviously a) rubbish paper talk and b) the speculation was around him not being able to adapt to the English language, and the subsequent difficulties that come along with that. He had to split with his girlfriend in Spain when he moved to London as well, so who knows what effect that's having. But seriously. Poor analysis and commentary from those 3.

- The overall experience of having Chelsea come to Australia was incredible. Even though the match wasn't spectacular it still would have been amazing to see Hazard, JT, Mourinho etc in the flesh. I was buzzing just sitting in my lounge chair. I'm definitely envious of all you boys who were there and I'm pretty sure next time they come down I'll be on the first flight to wherever it is. Fingers crossed Melbourne! :thumbsu:

Great night of football! I'm envious of those who attended but sadly I couldn't get away from important commitments but hopefully everyone who attended cherished that experience. I've waited too long to see our boys play in Australia and for older relatives of mine they were there in 1974 when we last came out so it's been a long time between drinks.

Hopefully the club has relished the prospect of being in Australia and will be back here more often in future years but next time they need to come to Melbourne where 100,000 people will watch them. Our players look a little tired now and Jose looked jet-lagged so they're entitled to a well-deserved rest now!

Also great strike by Loic Remy as well!

Just got home. Only a 2 hour drive home, which is really good.

******* amazing. I sort of wish I had gone alone so I could go in the active support section and stayed longer at the end but it was just amazing.

Defenders just can't handle Hazard. He gets double, triple, quadruple teamed and is constantly kicked and grabbed. It's insane to see in person the things he can do.

I thought Boga was pretty lively as well, shame he couldn't keep that shot down.

chef, Hatchy1992 how are you enjoying Sydney and Sydney's public transport? :D
Haha when I was up there earlier in the year for the Asian Cup Final, my mate and I met some random ass Koreans at the airport (one of which lived in Syd and had his car) who were also going to the game, and ended up chauffeuring us around all day/night/early morning. So luckily I managed to avoid all that :D

What does everyone make of Jose's comments on RLC? Pretty harsh words, insinuating he was faking an injury and questioning his commitment.

I did not even want to bother with that shit. If I missed the 12:30 train from Central back to Wollongong I'd have to wait for 5 hours there :p

Not worth the risk.
