Chev badges on Holdens

Is the theory behind it because they have chevy engines? If so, why aren't there a heap of VL's out there with Nissan Badges?

Pretty much, If they are of a recent build and have the v8 they usually have the chevy badge on it rather then the holden.

Hasn't every V8 Holden since 1999 had a Chevrolet engine in it?

The V6 versions prior to 2004 had a Buick design V6, and the current V6 is produced overseas as well as here... The only thing that's uniquely Australian about the Commodore is that it's assembled here and mostly sold here. GMH source parts from all over the shop.

Not really sure why people do the Chev-badge thing. American cars for the most part are rubbish and have been for quite some time.
