Yep, another season over. Another year of promise but unfortunately no cigar.

Chill out.

What I have seen so far from both this site, and the main forum is, instant, unforgetable and sometimes regretfull comments.

Guys, sleep on it, have a very good think, and if your anger is still raging tomorrow, then come on this board and offer some sound advice.

I love this club, and yes I am dissapointed. But we will get better.

Finals two years in a row for the first time since 1990/91 is a start. We will paly finals in 2006. Keep the faith.

And buy your membership early.

I like to look at as many positives as the next person, but my old man and I chatted about this game and we agreed on one thing - we didn't go forward in 2005. After promising so much in 2004, we needed to go on with the job. We didn't, and even though we made the finals, I see it as no different to previous odd years. Still mentally weak, and still lack any accountability at all.

Therefore, I choose not to try and make up excuses and try and be positive. I'm terribly disappointed after today, and rightfully so.

Darn right Cowboy, you should be as dissapointed as both of our "non de plume's" state. We are both in hell.

As in every day life, think before you speak.

Before you hit the "Send" button, read what you have written, and then delete and start again. The second writing will be much better than the first.

Those first Bundy's went down so well I'm now I'm on 4th.

How can a team let a whole years good work disappear with that kind of performance, they looked as if they werent interested and its not fair to the players that did give 100% to see your some of your leaders letting the team down.

It was the little things that Moloney did that showed maturity beyond his age. He has already made himself our second most important midfielder (behind Johnstone) and is easily our most physically strong in there. Future captain but not yet.

I think that the thing we are all worried about is another average 2006 as a possibility.

another 5-8 finish isn't good enough, unless we manage to make it a fair way into the finals. At our best we can beat the swans, crows and eagles. we did it against the first 2 and nearly against the 3rd while undermanned and underrested. as for the saints....******** they are good

I'm not going to read the main page for the next month. Can't stand to see people on both sides make dicks of themselves.

I guess the football department needs to be looked at. Really, Neitz is struggling to get through a whole season, two years in a row now and in the last five years, how many key forwards have come through. Brad Miller wh doesn't kick many goals but can mark and that is it. We recruited Holland as a band aid. What has happened to our other recruites and why hasn't anyone tried some new players and get them in the side. That is what is really frustrating. We have good kids down in the reserves... but they carn't get a game where as peole on the verge of retirement or just not good enough keep getting the first opportunity.

The football department is stale.

Damn!
i'm very dissapointed at how we lost yesterday. They just seemed tired and uninterested at times. I just wish they put up a gallent fight like we have the last 3 weeks. Having said that we really havn't shown the form over the last month to suggest any chance of a flag this year. with major players like bruce, green, yze and nietz(injured) largely inconsistent/uninfluencial over the past month it was hard to see the dees winning the whole thing.
To win the premiership we need to fly into the finals with our stars playing well and uninhibited by injury. I do see the potential with our list. Lets just hope we can hit next years finals playing as great as we were early in the year because were as good as anyone and better then most in full flight.

2006!!!!

While we may not have improved much from 2004, we showed that our best in 2005 was better than our best in 2004, but also that our worst in 2005 was worse than our worst in 2004. So it balances up really. However, we have finally made consecutive finals which is a big step for the club, and we broke that rotten odd year cruse.

Remember, West Coast was pitiful in 2001 and then lost 3 elimination finals in 2002, 2003 and 2004 before taking a step forward. We were terrible in 2003 and have lost 2 elimination finals in a row. Whether it is one year or two years, I think we can still take a step forward in the future. There must still be some big decisions made at the club though, especially in regards to the coaching panel and playing list.

To be honest.... it finished disappointingly after the position we were in at the start of the year (9-3??). There are positives, with Chooker, Colin, Belly, Buckets Holland, all improved.
Hopefully the coaching staff and recruiting guys can make some tough decisions to make the club better.
Here's to a better 2006.

Was about the same as last year, except last year we probably had a better year but this year we showed we could play better than our best last year. Quite a few delistings are required this summer and perhaps a trade or two to make the team go forward in 06'.
Really liked the idea that someone said which was a possible trade of Brad Green for Luke Ablett.
