Table tennis lesson: Your opponent will favour either the forehand or backhand. Hit to the opposite side to **** them over.

Astonishing week from hell for hamG national tech support. I've had exactly 29 calls from one rio tinto site about problems with our gear. I can't charge after hours fees because its rio and our gear appears to be screwing things up.

And apparently I'm being sent to Perth to be our WA manager. What is the Perth equivalent of Kew?

Uhh, are you familiar with the MCC? A lot of MCC members live in Kew. It would be one of the closest suburbs to the CBD with the biggest blocks of land, lots of tree lined streets, no crime. Lots of heritage listed stuff, and the highest private school density in the world.

So basically upper class, space, and as close to the city as possible.

Okay. Equivalent in Perth would be Subiaco, Claremont, Dalkeith, Peppermint Grove, Mosman Park, Cottesloe, Applecross and a few others. Most of those suburbs are near Perth and the land in those places is actually quite small but very, very expensive.

Peppermint Grove is the richest suburb in Perth and has it's own shire council. It would be like Toorak in Melbourne.

Yeah I know that. Me and my mum used to play aaaall the time when I was younger, hence she always hit to my backhand (was woeful), then of course I got the best backhand ever. But that was a long time ago unfortunately, so no friggin use to me now.

I just hope my opponent doesnt spin the ball. Im hopeless returning those, and cant do that myself.

I'm a pretty good server tho when I get going- hit it very very close to the net and very fast.

Righteo, by looking at a map I get a feeling for the areas.

Holy crap, you moving to Perth?!?!?!?
One guy said it was for 12 months, another used the term 'double your wage'. But my old man is the boss and he's oversees so I will just wait and see what he says. Since Gary moved for money, so can I :D

The thing I just can't figure out with the Tiger woods rubbish is Elin Woods is stunning, and the median of birds he cheated with were average. Whats with that? What a douche.

Woohoo 7-day stay at Apollo Bay is booked for January. (Better than not going anywhere I guess). $200 for the whole week or thereabouts, not bad.

Dee, if you go down Torquay way or where ever (and the weather is like this of course) let me know. Hanging out to go to the beach and have a swim. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

I'm trying to book the asia trip for january but it is doing my head in.
trying to get all flights co-ordinated so that I can have some down time somewhere.

Found this cool spot.

http://www.sailingclubvietnam.com/muinedeluxebeach.php

But I can't fly into it.
Would need to spend 4-5 hours getting there and 4-5 back.
And I'd only be there for 2 days.

Might have to do it. I can't find many other options. Unless I spend 3 days shopping in HCMC.

That will be cool Shell.

Sorry wasn't attempting to demean your trip :p

That place I am looking at isn't expensive really. It would probably cost 600 a night if it was in Torquay.

But being in Vietnam its only 170 ish. Plus all the street vendors will have cheap food.

What I am worried about is that after 2 great days there I would need to hop in a car for 5 hours (only 200km), spend 3 hours at the airport. 3 hour flight to KL.
Another 2 hours in the airport, and then fly home.

I might just end up feeling stuffed again :D

And I'm taking the other half on this trip. She is stoked. She's never been to asia before and I know she will flip out a bit. The sister in law agreed to look after our 2 kids for the 8 days. Which is a huge effort as she already has 4 of her own. That's freaking me out a bit.

I've looked at nearly everything.
From just going to Hong Kong for 2 days instead. And maybe doing disneyland.
I've thought of flipping the trip upside down and having some time in Indonesia but that doesn't appear too safe in my eyes.
I've considered making Malaysia the last leg and staying at the same place I did last time. But it's a 2 hour drive from the airport.

There's a resort area 2 hours south of HCMC which may have to do. Not up to the level of the others by the sound of it.

The other area we could do is Halong Bay near Hanoi.
In fact it would be perfect but it's only 20 degrees at the end of Vietnam and 30 at the other.

Like I said, doing my head in.
Anyhoo, here's a pic of Halong Bay
