I keep forgetting its on, saw the 1st episode only. Have you been watching?

Are you enjoying an extra long weekend too?
Yes I have been watching it and enjoying it. The episodes can be found here if you miss it:

I worked yesterday so it hasn't been an extra long weekend for me :( But today I have a day off and I'm going on a car cruise out east of Melbourne.:)

I've seen it, some great scenery. Read that most of it, even the Himalayas and Afghanistan bits, were shot in Iceland of all places

Where would you travel if $ and time were no object? For me it'd be Europe or the US.
After watching the movie i wanted to go to Iceland. But even before seeing the movie i have liked those lagoons over there.
Europe,Uk inc scotland and somewhere like the greek islands would be great holiday.

My boss has opened his wallet today lol, and is putting on a bet for all 8 of us who've turned up for work today.

I have no idea about picking horses, who do I go for? o_O

Someone at work gave me a tip but i forgot the name of the horse.
i googled cup tips and found this lol>
Keep your shoes/shirt on
Keep your shoes on at all times. The moment those slip off your feet, so does your dignity. If you have sore feet you shouldn't have worn a new pair of heels in the first place.

For men, this applies for your pants or shirts. If you want to make your first trip to the races your last, then go ahead.

Thanks guys-I better get a move on or the race will be done.

So it's pretty colors or Fawkner (hopefully Fawkner has pretty colors :D), and keep my shoes and pants on!

I agree with what you posted about heels etc....above Rocker-it's an awful look.

Another tip.
More is more in this instance, so ladies should avoid the shoestring straps and short hemlines. Men, steer clear of loud shirts and coloured suits. Remember, if you do plan on heading on to Boutique for a cheeky post-race boogie, schedule an outfit change as it's a very long day to spend in tight-fitting and revealing clothing.

So, did anyone besides VC and myself have a bet on the Cup?

My horse came 3rd- ended up going for the one with a name I liked, as the colour combos weren't so nice. :$

darren forssman your location has gone to something else-says you're from NM football club-did you change it to that.o_O

Nope. My bets for the week went on epl and nfl. Both fell over at 1 leg in the multi.

Both multis combined would have netted roughly $65 for every $2 bet:(.

Didn't even see the race.

Plus I was out driving my 3 year old round looking for trucks and ambulances and police cars and so on... didn't even know what time it was and didn't get home until 3
Aww, cute. Did you find something?

I wouldn't have had a clue about betting either btw, my boss put a $5 bet on for each of us (generous ) and I won $10. Think he may have taken some of my winnings as compensation lol, as my horse was a huge outsider apparently.

Yeah we did the Black spur as well so I may have passed him (there were so many bikes on that road). We drove up to Lake Mountain Resort, from there we went to Mount Dandenong lookout and then back home :)
