Karen - have you done the ABBA Gold test on this gent?

I'll elaborate if I get time later today, but it's a simple rating to see where another is at, and how you emotionally repsond to a particular situation by simply playing the ABBA Gold CD. The Name of the Game is a great track to start with.
ok, im completely intruiged, but have the ABBA gold cd hiding somewhere at home! Explain when you get a chance James!!

It's been a while since I've done it, but you simply make note of the way you respond emotionally to the music and lyrics of ABBA Gold when you have another person in mind.

For instance, a couple of years ago I could never get past the opening four bars, and the cascading notes on that electric piano of SOS without completely breaking down and having a blanket thrown over me. So on a rating from 1 to 10 - that's an 11.

If you're the type of girl who works all night, works all day, just to pay the bills you have to pay, feeling sad, then does this man have enough money, money, money to make you funny and let you do the things you want to do? If he rates a 1, then you may need to go to Vegas or Monaco!

Maybe you've now seen him twice, in a short time - are you getting more open hearted? Do you see in his face a lot he can teach you? Does he know the name of the game? Does it mean anything to him? If he strikes a 10 here, he's very much worth it.

Do you want to be the first in line if he happens to change his mind? Would he go dancing, and walking, just to be together? Listen to music, and talk, to get to know you better? Would he take a chance, honey? Again, a high rating here is very good.

Is he a super-trouper? Maybe the situation is all Mama Mia!

Fatally, can you see it end, he the winner, taking it all?

Life is very difficult - and as a dear friend once told me, that's why Abba is here to help. ;)

Oh, very much so. Has been for over 30 years now.

The mark of a truly great pop song is it's durablity - no matter how many times you hear it, it never tires. Over time, it even grabs you with emotions that never existed in younger listening days.

I'm not really an ABBA fan (it's more respect), but they wrote 3 of the most perfect pop singles of all time, and with SOS, I'd agree with Pete Townsend of The Who - it's the greatest pop song of all time.

Sadly 600 deaths in the Middle East will be the tip of the iceberg, mankind has been fighting over the holy land since the crusades.

As long as there is multiple religions in the Middle East there will never be sustained peace... All this fighting over someone who atheists believe never existed... Staggering really
article in the age about this exact thing i was getting at:

But I’ve also been thinking a lot about why it is these lives particularly that have earned such a response. The more I heard journalists and politicians talk about how 37 Australians were no longer with us, the stranger it began to sound. Something of that magnitude happens just about every week on our roads, for instance. In the last week for which we have official data, 29 people were killed this way. The youngest was two. We held no ceremonies, and we had no public mourning of the fact that they, too, were no longer with us.

Good. Thought you'd had a sad breakup a little while ago and that's why you couldn't listen to SOS without tears!

Your ABBA test is a hit with the girls in my office, we're all going to give it a go on the weekend lol!

I seem to have 'take a chance on me' on my mind, with a high rating, while thinking of this new guy, so that's a good sign!

You dag!
Next time you have lunch with your lady friends, mention the ABBA thing-bet they can relate :p:D
No thanks !

And I really don't think that sort of thing would be applicable to someone you met once.
I can't imagine what good it would do.

Might help sort your brain out if you've been seeing someone for 2 months are you're not sure if he's the one.
But even then, no thanks.

I'm with AGL for power and gas, they're not too bad.
Reckon they're all pretty similar. I'm probably getting ripped off with hidden fees and charges somewhere in the contract, but their prices aren't too bad in comparison.

Yeah, they are all the same. I had AGL years ago, but they spent one time taking over 9 months to read a meter. Same thing happen with Energy Australia - they took so long to sort out a problem, the Ombudsman got invloved and cancelled all the bills. F*** you Kennett, and all that followed in your path!!!

Bored bored bored bored. Where is the footy? What is the deal with these split rounds? Absolute and total waste of time by the AFL.

Nothing gets me going like a good tautology on a Friday night, aside from a footy game.

personally I'm a bit de-sensitised towards deaths in the middle east now, they've been doing it for so long and over something as trivial as religion, the middle east is beyond hope i feel.

As for car deaths, law enforcement and Gov't are always trying to put measures in place to limit the road toll, whereas Israel/Palestine/ISIS/Hamus/Al Qaeda etc etc seem happy to just keep killing each other...

Also if Russia are found through the investigation, to have been even partly responsible for MH17... they will be held to account for that, and Putin is a slimy grub.

For me whether it is a shot down plane or car crash or terrorism or Middle east wars, it's all senseless killing... except for the lives of the terrorists, their lives and standing on earth are worthless AFAIC

I have some great songs to get you over a$$es, so if it turns pear shaped with pizza guy, I'll send you some ;).

Remember listening to Get Gone by Fiona Apple and Don't Think Twice by Bob Dylan hundreds of times after a messy break up (& of course You're So Vain by Carly Simon :p)

I'm sure you'll have a lovely time with pizza guy and above songs won't be needed :thumbsu:. Did you decide on an outfit?

I see Kennett at my work at least once a week, and am so tempted to abuse him for his wrongs as leader of the Liberals.
Nine months to read a meter is just bs.
Did you decide on a new provider?
