I have some great songs to get you over a$$es, so if it turns pear shaped with pizza guy, I'll send you some ;).

Remember listening to Get Gone by Fiona Apple and Don't Think Twice by Bob Dylan hundreds of times after a messy break up (& of course You're So Vain by Carly Simon :p)

I'm sure you'll have a lovely time with pizza guy and above songs won't be needed :thumbsu:. Did you decide on an outfit?
I've had 'You're so Vain' in my head since reading this post lol!
Forgot to ask you catgal, have you done the 'Abba Gold' test in the past? I love it. My girlfriend texted me saying that 'Mamma Mia' is the one she gave highest score to thinking of her current bf.

My girlfriends and I have taken quite a liking to the Abba You Can Dance video game. We do an interesting version of Fernando :).

But yeah, I've done the "ABBA Gold" test when I was in a previous intense relationship. Knew it was never meant to last when the only song that resonated was Gimme Gimme Gimme A Man After Midnight ;):D. How's it going for you?

That sounds like awesome fun. Now that's a video game I could get into. ;)
Feeling good about tomorrow, have a nothing to lose attitude. Not mad that I've had to choose where we go, would so much rather leave that up to the guy!

In other news, I NEED SOME FOOTY TO WATCH. the bye's killing me!!!

What, you don't know a decent thin crust pizza restaurant?
I'd be thinking of what pizza I'm going to eat, not the guy :)

If you need help with the pizza place let me know.
Just let me know what area of sydney it needs to be in.

I've found a place with wood-fired pizza. It's supposed to be a good one (don't think I've tried wood fired before ).
I just wanted him to take control and decide, I like that in a guy.

I'd go here,

"or head to the newer packed-out and pumping Frankie's Pizza bar, where pizza and booze is an all-hours option."

Frankie's Pizza
50 Hunter Street, Sydney

or here.

Gigi
379 King Street, Newtown 9557 2224

All polished concrete, street-art covered walls and loud pizza-loving crowds – it's Naples, Newtown style. Keep an eye on the blackboard for tempting seasonal specials.

Best thing about bar type pizza places is the laid back atmosphere, and lack of uncomfortable quiet moments.
That's exactly why I like the idea. Catgal has given me a quick guide on 'how to people watch' for those awkward moments lol :D
Ok, promised myself I'd do some last minute exercise, so thanks again, bbl :thumbsu:

Hows this for BS?

Mrs goes out to a company do last night. I was invited but no one could look after the kids.
So we drop her off in the city.
The do finishes about 11. Not sure if we'll do anything afterwards.

"Ok, just let me know"
"will do"

So when it got to 12.40 I thought it might be smart to see if she was ok seeing as I'd heard nothing.
"you ok, where you at?"
"yes. Casino"

So I go to bed and set an alarm to make sure she is ok.
Send her a text a 3. No response.
10 minutes later I decide to call. No answer.
And I then started calling every couple of minutes. Anxiety levels rising a touch.

I end up texting my brother as he was at the dinner.
Comes back. "I'm sleeping, but she's with xxx at the casino"

30 minutes later she finally answers the call.
"where are you"
"taxi rank at the casino"

And I'm pretty grumpy by now, but not swearing or anything etc. I knew who she was with and I have no issue with it until...
"Who you with?"
"I'm on my own"
"No you're not"
"yes, I am"
"I know you're not"

It must have clicked that my brother would have told me.
"Oh I'm with xxx he's just making sure I get a cab"

So. She gets home (@ 4:30), smashed, and goes berserk at me for not trusting her.
She's still in bed. I ended up having 4 hours sleep.

F**king women!

The comm games are an opportunity to see if you're 'almost' the best in the world.
I enjoy them as a sporting spectacle. I could easily argue my pov on the usa and the counter points on Britain with bulletproof and James1970 but quite frankly i can't be ******, I've got into enough arguments on bf recently and simply am not going to waste my time on this topic, its not worth it.

If we as a group of nations (commonwealth) were so outraged at the treatment of the British, we would have left the commonwealth by now right?? The fact we haven't and they are one of our closest allies suggests it's all a storm in a tea cup.

On what you said, the comm games are pretty much the same as The Euro football tournament, not quite as good as the world cup, but important nonetheless

EDIT: decided to bring this here as it probably doesn't belong in the thread it was in

ha ha, I don't want an argument either.
And certainly not over the monarchy. My parents are british, and I couldn't give a stuff either way.

And I do like the comm games. They deserve to be respected as an elite event.
Just not when it comes to track and field. (in general)

The best thing about the comm games is that we get to send so many participants. Many of whom will learn what it takes.

Track and field is annoying regardless of Olympics or comm games, but I did watch, and was chuffed for Pearson in 2012, all the swimmers ****** around and partied and didn't apply themselves (in general), while Pearson, who was racing against the clock to overcome an injury, put her head down and her bum up, put the hard work in... and unlike her swimming compatriots, got the gold medal she deserved.

I have watched the youtube video of Pearson winning in London numerous times, that instantaneous moment she switches from anticipation to realisation she is olympic champion, at that moment I shed a tear every time
