Altho maybe cos its for a guest, perhaps add the top sheet- thus easier to wash/replace than washing the doona.
Thanks that's what I went with and then just washed the sheets they only stayed a couple of nights I aired the rest of the bed close still haven't re maid the bed:$ your first post had all the information very informative for us novices.
 
Top sheets are a must in summer imo- when all you need is a sheet.

Sheets are not required for the winter time, if you doona is quality. Which mine is- only have fitted sheet + doona- keeps me warm even on a freezing cold night.
Yep, top sheet is just a hassle. Noone likes it.
