Our finals record is not deplorable. Look at teams like Sydney.. haven't won a final in melbourne for 10 years. At the end of the day, we came away with the silverware... that's all anyone plays for.

No that is a fact and here's another fact, out of the eight finals games the AFC played to win the 1997 and 1998 flags only two were at Football Park.

Port finals record = WOEFUL.

Off the top of my head you spoke about Sydney over the past 10 years and so I have compared Sydney which you claim as being pathetic in finals over the last ten years against Port's record since they have been in the competition.

Both Port and Sydney have won 5 finals and lost 7, 4 of those wins for both teams have been at home and one win away, both had made a GF with the obvious difference being that Port won the one that they were in. Of Ports losses 3 of them have been at AAMI stadium whereas Sydney have lost two home finals one at SCG against Adelaide and one at Stadium Australia.

They seem very comparable to me, the only difference is the premiership.

So I wouldnt really rag off Sydney over the last 10 years as statistically your mob has been just as bad in the finals.

I agree that its a big difference, BUT it still doesnt change the fact that at the moment Port's finals record statistically is the same as Sydney so to put Sydney's finals form as deplorable and try and make it as though port's finals record is superior is illogical.

So is finishing minor premiers and choking in back-to-back seasons to become the laughing stock of the AFL. Damn those were good times. No other team in the history of the game has or will ever emulate such humiliation.
