i would have thought the Development Manager should have AFL experience as a prerequisite.
Not so with Fitness staff, Contracts admin, Psychs etc, because it doesn't require an very fine understanding of the game nuances.

Who says its their call in the end? Sounds like he wanted 5 an they only offered 3. If he wants to do it ( and my god it's an ugly it) he wants to do it properly, hard as it may sound for the poor saints there may not be a great deal of ladder position improvement in 2-3 years. Woohoo it's not us!!

Not sure how true it is but i was told just last sunday by a very very good client who is also a Tigers supporter and does have connections at the club that
Brendon Gale actually told his counterpart at the saints that the Tigers wont be letting Chocco go and will enforce him to fulfill his contract and were prepared to stand their ground on this matter only because of the lateness of the decision and not because they want to hinder Chocco.

When i quized him about if they had the legal right to do so what he said was that if legal procedures were pending Chocco would not be allowed to coach stkilda until the case was resolved and if it went to legals could take months and stkilda could not continue with a stand in coach untill decided

Again it was just what i was told by my client and to be honest didnt think it to be true even though i do trust him but thought he was blowing smoke
If this Richardson appointment does go ahead - Makes me think that it might of actually been the case and with our new President our legals would be well and truly on top of these matters

Whether true or not, what can be said with certainty is that Richmond FC run a tight ship these days.:thumbsu:

Now time to re-draft all football department contracts so that personnel are only free to accept better offers during a certain window (just like players).
