Do YOU expect your club to make the finals in next three seasons. Is that the minimum for Choco to retain your faith? Actually not just you, all the Bay13 Tealster regulars, what is the minimum Choco has to do repay the faith the Board has shown him?

Nor did NC have a 5 year plan. His first 2 years he was taking an aging list as far as it could. If anything our rejuvination started in 2007 at the earliest I would suggest NC mistakenly went an extra year into 2007 having a final tilt at the flag and it was not unit 2008 that definite changes were made. Ports rebuild is yet to start.

There is no clear transition for the replacement of Cornes X 2, Lade, Brogan, P Burgoyne and Tredrea. Tough times ahead for the power. The tough thing though is Choco only has 2 years to turn things around and replace a third of his best22 and still remain competitive.

History would suggest this cannot be done this quickly particularly with the ruck division and key forward spotsdevoid of any future prospects. D one please do not evenmention Westhoff until you go to the Port board and post in the thread titled "Westhoff is Horrible"

We won ours too, and then another, but compare that list with that of the Crows 1991 initial set up and 1997 GF list.

Choco didnt have to develop a sqaud. He added a few players but there was a decent core. He should have won earlier with Francou and Primus playing roles in 2002-03. When, like Geelong now, you were the best Home & Away side.

Who would you take if offered. Hoff or Tip? and why.

Tip for me. He actually contests. Hoff cant go man on man and when he does he falls over and looks at the umpire crying for a free. He falls over when running in a staight line. Tip keeps his ground has a great second effort, Hoff has none it is ever mark the ball or fall over. Those stats look good as he had a great first year when noone knew who he is. Now they do, and like all the kids Port drafts he has gone backwards.

Both clubs lost to the Saints. We were in it till the last quarter when their class rose above us. Port didnt even show up.

We beat the Swans over here. Lost the first half but stayed within striking distance and over ran them. With Macca kicking a game breaking goal. Swans smashed Port over there, with Thurstans playing for Sturt.

Your last loss against Geelong was made to look good by them not playing the last quarter. We were smashed by them over here but they never took the pedal off as they know we dont drop our heads. They could ease off against the Power as they knew the first quarter was enough to smash the weak minded Powder Puffs.

If Melbourne had a forward they could of been a few goals up at quarter time (at home) as they doubled your inside 50s (Chocos favourite stat). We beat them in a dirty dour match at the G.

Hawthorn surrended to you, but it was one of the best wins in a few years according to Choco. We easily accounted for them.

You beat Essendon in round one, at home, a lucky win given the skill errors they had when had momentum. We beat them at Docklands in a game many neutrals hail as one of the best of the season, also the most accurate scorewise in A(V)FL history.

You beat us. Some junk time goals made the score look better but we were poor. Since then we have gone up the ladder. You have dropped. We learnt from that loss and have made some changed. Port won a Showdown and patted themselves on the back, and congratulated themselves on being a "top four side". Port have never made the finals after beating us since Craigy has taken over. This will continue.

What do you expect from your team this year?

I'm not sure beyond this year at this stage - I will look at each year at the start of the year. Next year I expect us to finish higher than this year. If we don't I would be pretty pissed off with Choco.

At the start of this year I expected we would make the finals, and finish anywhere between 4 and 8, however there's no arguing injuries to important players have hurt us this year - our midfield is currently quite seriously depleted and would have had to have been judged a major strong point of our team pre-season, so I now think we'll be lucky to make it - probably miss on our crap % or a game+%. If we win this week I reckon we'll make it, and if we lose we won't.

PS - subapu - find me comments from Port supporters that show they were disgruntled by the process by which they were informed of the outcome of the meeting - I haven't seen more than one personally

Honest assesment. Injuries have played a part. But you have won games without Chad S Burger and Westhoff. Lade is struggling, but has to plough on due to no depth. Your biggest loss is going to be Boak and Motlop. Percentage may bite in the ass, junk time goals may cost. However it goes both ways with the last quarter against helping somewhat.

"Subapu" ...good one...have you been to the D_One school of thinking up stupid infantile names, or are you actually 8?

I work with the public, and all day Monday Port supportes were wondering what was going on. All day Tuesday, they were pissed off with how it had been handled. These are your average people, some of who now refuse to and have not been to your games because of the coach. I do not base what I hear from Port supporters solely on a mutual admiration society like the Port board.

Chocolate got the nod as coach of port would have had to put forward a plan back in 1999 otherwise he wouldn't have got the job... granted i bet most port supporters never knew he had put forward a 5 year plan to the port board in 2006 but he deserves to finish what hes started & if he wasn't anywhere near where they set out to be in the 5 year plan he would have got the dcm..


Every year people will come out openly & say that Adelaide's list is poor. I named at least half a football team just off the top of my head who have played under craig in the last 5 years... i think you will find that most of the have played at least 2 seasons with craig.. some have retired etc.. but its a cop out to use that excuse every year.
