That's a pathetic comment, even for Bay 13. You could say Adelaide lucked the 1998 flag because North Melbourne didn't kick straight. I won't because the better team on the day made the most of their opportunities. Therefore Adelaide won. Port beat Brisbane fair and square.

Yep, never mind the fact we'd come top of the ladder for the last 3 years, Brisbane were the better team and it was a fluke. Now, a team that comes 5th and then (after losing its first final) beats a team that finished 4 spots above them on the ladder after said team kicks 8.22 on GF day? That's what I call a fully deserved and completely un-flukey premiership!
