My guess is that as each team that made it through to the top 8 this year drops out of the race for the flag; no team will leave this year in the manner of the HFC.

Pathetic Troll. At least Geelong was able to defend their premiership, where Hawthorn weren't even good enough to earn a sniff at that chance. The excuses just keep coming. We have lost several key players and had injuries all year and can still make the 8. Interesting.

2. Hawthorn were a clear first on the injury ladder, and also playing injured players, (four confirmed) so this far outweighs Geelong's injuries. Who's out of the side THIS week? Ryan Gamble?
3. Hawthorn also have the youngest side in the competition.
4. I'd be impressed with Hawthorn's efforts this year, considering all that they have had to try and overcome.
