I appear to have caused quite a ruckus by my thread on the Lloyd-Watt incident.

Upon reflection my choice of words may not have been entirely appropriate. My original point was that I thought the particular piece of play by Lloyd (approximately 5 seconds)was cowardly but I did not mean to imply that Lloyds overall character to be.

As I stated in the original thread I quite enjoy watching him play (I remember him as an 18 yo kicking three brilliant goals for Vic against SA)and someone of his talent should not resort to such actions.

However I apoligise for the wording used and the inference given and in the future will be more careful in the way I express my opinions.

May the incident be laid to rest and everyone look forward to round 2 no matter which team we support.

Dont' worry Kangawhinger No 14 (Brain Half Full) has taken to trashing Lloyd up instead. One goes another comes.

you were understandably pissed off- it was an enjoyable thread though. dont worry about it.]

WHAT!!! Don't apologise choppy. YOu should be bagging the dopey bastard more... He is a coward, acts agressively when the opposing player least expects it. He thinks he is a hero but he is just a downright woos bag. I still remember the day Scott Turner ran at him and Lloyd ran the other way.

Last night I saw one of the most cowardly pieces of play on a football field. I can't believe that nothing has been said of what Lloyd did to Watt. I was perpendicular to the piece of play and Lloyd has pulled the top of his jumper back when Watt is in the air and pulled him right down and didn't release until Watt's head was less than foot from the ground.

It was cowardly. Lloyd wasn't in the play and had no chance of getting the ball. Absolute cowardly play. This is not Lloyd bashing as I quite enjoy watching him play (except against North), I would say the same whoever did it. If King can get two weeks for running into a runner how many weeks for this act.

Lloyd could have given Watt a serious neck injury, paralysed him. Accidents can happen on a football field, thats footy. But,...

Anyone who has played football whether it is at school level or reserves country grade; we all know that you don't pull a bloke backwards from the top of his jumper when his feet are off the ground. It is instinctively dangerous.

Lloyd is most likely remorseful for what he did and is/was concerned for Watt's wellbeing but an AFL footballer at this level should know better and must be made an example of. He should be given 6 to 10 weeks as a deterent.

One could imagine the outcry if Lloyd was the recipient from Watt.

So Choppy when exactly did you call him a coward...

In future... don't bother apologising for their lack of intelligence....
