Sad day, The Saints were probably my favourite Australian band for a long time growing up & I still have plenty of their tracks on my playlists.

Very sad to hear, he is a legend of the Australian Rock scene and very much loved and admired all around the world.

RIP Chris

Was gutting news to wake up to as he was still so young and I can't really picture him not being around anymore. Forever a legend, I'll miss you Chris.

Absolutely gutted. I grew up in the UK during the punk heyday and knew how good the saints were. Moved to Aust in 82 and stunned that no one knew them. Bob Geldof said there was 3 punk bands that mattered..The Pistols The Clash and The Saints. Its criminal how underated Chris Bailey is rated in the Mainstream. Last time i felt like this is when Strummer died. Will never get to see a Saints proper reunion now.

RIP Chris have great memories seeing The Saints many times my favourite gig of theirs was at The Corner.
Still listen often when working from home, one of the few benefits of Covid. I’m another that will have a beer and crank up The Saints over the long weekend.
