Josh Mahoney is their footy manager and has been since 2011 overseeing the whole resurgence. Why not get him? No need to reinvent the wheel.

Mal has spent the last 20 years or so wheeling and dealing across a few startups and small cap companies. His wife (one of the few people on the planet who could stand toe-to-toe with Mal) has been fighting through a life-threatening condition in Melbourne, there'd be no chance Mal is leaving there atm.

By that stage they will have both helped us to our first premiership so wouldn’t bregrudge them returning home to see out their careers.

Lyon was Signed at end of 2011 on a 4 year deal ie 2012-2015 inclusive after the 2013 GF he was given at two extension ie 2016 & 2017. The in March 2016 Rosich & Harris gave him a 3 year extension 2018-2020.
