Does anyone have any information about CHris Bryan?
22 year old ruckman who is about 6'6" and spent last year at Franskton. He has done a couple of pre-seasons previously without getting picked up.Played with the Dragons at under 18 level and then went to Sandringham for a few years.

I've seen him play a few times.

He was playing in the Sandy seconds last year, but did pretty well at Frankston I believe.

Won't account to much at AFL level but he's still better than Barnaby French.

I dont think he's better then French at all SS. I think thats just a silly comment. If what you're trying to do is bag the blues then have a long hard look at your "awesome club" mate.

I was simply implying that French ain't much chop (and he isn't).

Bryan will go alright at the Blues - could be another DeLuca.

In general I prefer to pick ruckman who are a bit older than 18/19, cos they've filled out a bit and had some experience playing the position.

That said, I was disappointed they didn't pick up DeLuca, but time will tell.

Carlton had him training at closed sessions the last 4 weeks and he had to put on 6 kilos before they drafted him. he trained at Carlton under a different name and was hidden, is this tampering with the draft? Again?

Don't talk crap Bee Dee.

He wasn't training under a different name at all and he never trained with CFC until today. He may have done some running, out of the spotlight, with an assistant in a blue top but big deal. :D Alls fair in this day and age....except brown paper bags of course :p

He is overage so he can train with any AFL club. On the other hand the Crows testing Jonathan Griffin broke the rules and I'm pretty sure they'll be fined.

And it's not like Bryan was an unknown player - he went to state screening last year, came through the TAC Cup system and nearly all teams would have seen him play for Frankston during the year whilst watching their other potential draftee Byron Murphy.

I saw Bryan on channel ten news tonight and he looks like a machine. Whatever they have been feeding him they should start feeding it to the other Carlton players too. Hopefully he can play football as well :)

I quite liked Bryan in his time at Sandringham, though he only got an opportunity when both Jolly and Jamar were injured/playing for Melbourne. I thought it would be worth rookie listing him back then, doubt he will be a world beater but looked very solid.

Actually Sezzac attends most Carlton training sessions and holds a position at the club.
Who'd have the credibility here?

I'd suggest in this case Bee Dee stands for big ******** head. :D

On the subject of Carlton and in particular their Recruiting Manager, I'm still waiting for you to elaborate on the comment you made about him.

He is a mature age player, therefore different requirements by the afl if any, and as such, which rule according to the draft did they break?

cheers
