Just wondered how this bloke is going. How has he been going on the training track? I'm still really peeved that he isn't still a Blue.

Read on another board that he is burning on the track, is as fit as he's ever been and is shaping as the next ruck superstar of the competition ;)

Couldn't resist, read one training report that said he was going well, the next one said he was with the infirmary group, make of that what you will, nothing will be known until we all get to see him play.

He is apparently loving life at lexus centre & will be given every opportunity to play senior footy. He is actuallu going to be our second choice ruckman, as he can play forward to. I have no doubt that he is a better option than Cam Cloke, so I am very happy with it.

I dont understand every game he played for the blues he seemed to play very well. Oh well I hate Carlton & Pagan, so Thankyou!

Attitude and discipline. Has a bit of the Tarrant, Ben Johnson, Didak, Brodie Hollands about him.
Great kick, average at everthing else. Will play ressies.

Do you actually have any idea what you are saying. Those three all display a great attitude and discipline on the footy field:eek: . Holland might be a bit rougth on the field but that is needed in a team.

We can thank Johnson's attitude and discipline of the field in taking Swan under his wing and taking him the next level.:) :thumbsu:

Great news for the Bryzer. Wish him luck and hope he does well. I think he will really excell and be a very good player for you guys. Can somebody please post some current and recent pics.

Tarrant was a terrible kick for goal, and Didak is an absolute genius. I'm wondering if you've ever watched a football game.

Are you serious??? No wonder your club is in disarray!

If he turns out to be half as good as Tarrant, Johnson, Didak & Holland, then I would be over the moon.

Tarrant is gone because of his lack of discipline of the field.

Johnson was defending his mate (In other words, he had to clean up the sh*t Tarrant left)
Didak wasnt being taken home because the taxi driver wanted to extort him, which is illegal.

And Holland was defending his Mrs against a psycho.
So what was wrong with their attitude and discipline?
As for you to talk. WITH this so-called attitude and discipline problem, these champions would walk into Carltons top 10. On and Off the field.

Great to hear, I don't know how Fraser has been doing what he has, i would of thought it would be to much for one person. Once Bryan makes his debut we will be able to release fraser into the forward line to help out while Bryan handles the ruck work. once we get Fraser down into the forward line i rekon we will be a much better team, depending if Rocca can pick up his game and how Rusling and Cloke go.

He talking about off the field because Bryan is lazy and reportedly likes to eat fish and chips or junk when he's watching from the stands. It cracks Carlton up to hear you talking about Bryan as a number one ruckman who will release Fraser into the forwardline.

He isn't that good and he's a one trick pony who couldn't get a game despite French carrying an injury for most of the year.

I saw him just b4 xmas, and he looks much bigger than tazza did in every aspect. looked as fit as you can get. a real monster.

Whos cares if he looks fit and is bigger than taz in every aspect! If he doesnt have the talent he wont cut it. He couldnt even get a regular game with the blues who were on the bottom end of the ladder for the last few years. Big men are hard to find and the blues wouldnt give him up if he was any good. He is a DUD but i hope he proves me wrong

The Blues didn't give him up, he chose not to sign the contract that they were offering him.

Once he was gone, they decided to pick up Cameron Cloke to try and cover for him.

That might be true, but Bryan will never be a natural ruckman. He doesn't have the height, or the skill to be a ruckman at AFL level. He would be better suited to a role in the forward line and someone who can pinch hit in the ruck whilst JF takes a spell.

His other major concern is attitude. It was terrible at times at Carlton, and that was why he spent the majority of the 2006 season with the Bullants.

Malthouse clearly doesn't place a lot of value on natural ruckmen though, and Bryan's role as long as Fraser is healthy will be as nothing more than a backup anyway. I think Malthouse would rather have a guy that can win 15 possessions and 5 hitouts than 5 possessions and 15 hitouts.

As for his attitude, we keep hearing about how bad it was, but the truth is, Bryan performed reasonably when given a chance at AFL level, but never got much of an opportunity for extended playing time. On top of that, despite this poor attitude, Carlton wanted to re-sign him, so honestly, how bad could it have been?

Carlton wanting to re-sign him was only due to Deluca's unexpected retirement. Frankly, I rate Bryan as a better player than Deluca but I am sure that if Deluca hadn't walked out on his final year of his contract than Bryan wouldn't have been offered that 1 year deal.

Carlton won 4 games for the year ,didn't have a ruckman of any standing and I believe he played 4 games.
Carlton only offered him a year contract and could had kept him if we offered him 2 years, this after we lost Deluca and French. Then Carlton use their first Pre-season pick on another ruckman. So did Carlton really want him? I don't think so.
Well done Collingwood we have Cloke who is very keen, trains hard and looks impressive. You have Byran who eats Fish and Chips and Beligum biscuits while watching the bottom team play which he can't get a game for.

He wanted a two year deal so we did "give him up" by not caving in to his demands and we won by signing Cloke to a one year deal on our terms. I hope he does well because he had more talent than Deluca and got a rough deal, but he won't embarass us or take away any game time from Aisake, Jacobs or Hampson this year.

Mclaren is a better ruckman than Bryan even those he's shorter and he has the right attitude for a list as young as ours.

Just so you know, the 'good kick, average at everything else' comment was about Bryan, not the others. The others are obviously pretty talented players. Just thought i would let ya know what he meant...
