Surprised to see brayn as an emergency.Maybe, malty may sneak him in,before game starts, and leave out wakelin,or o'brien last minute.Having Bryan in the team,to change ruck duties with matchstick richards, allows Josh to stay in that forward line, and strech the pauperoos defence.Your thoughts faithfull?

I'm still not convinced about a side with Richards, Fraser AND Bryan all together.

MM has said that he expects Richards to really step-up this season. Maybe taking only Fraser and Richards into the match is a way of emphasising this to him.
Maybe Josh will go forward, and Guy will have to deal with Hale and McIntosh solo??

Anyway, why tinker around too much with a side that beat the Roos by 68points in round 22 last year?
Tarrant out, Medders in, that'll do.:thumbsu:

Agreed Aristotle.I actually didn't think that it may rain on saturday,so we may be to top heavy with richards ,bryan, and fraser.I know that the roos are not happy that edwards didn't get picked, but if it rains he will be in that team of there's.Who knows how effective he is?100 goals in the vfl,is not the same as playing afl ?If we are going to be any good this year.Tommorrow should give us the barometer reading for the months ahead. We should beat them by at least 30-40 points if we are serious?

Well the pies beat by 68 points last time, what's changed since then?Except the roos are blooding 4 youngsters!Which should make our job easier!

With Travis Cloke and Anthony Rocca more than capable to help out, Bryan isn't exactly required...especially with an expected slow surface.

well along with the 4 debutants you can add pratt, simpson and grant to the side we fielded back then. then consider that most of that 68 point margin was from the pies 10 goal final quarter against a side that just wanted to have a beer after a long season. then you can take didak, holland, buckley out of your side... so theres a couple of changes.

Doesn't explain the first 10 goal trouncing you got at the hands of us last season. What excuses will you give us for that?

Fraser's a touch underdone, even he said so himself, so he will play mainly as one of the three talls tomorrow (alongside Rocca and Cloke). According to Malthouse, Richards will get plenty of gametime to prove himself at the highest level. The conditions won't suit Chris Bryan either. The ball will be wet and hard and one of his main attributes will be severly effected.
