Haven't heard much from Hartley in recent times, though Berry wrote in The Age on Sunday that our crop of keeping understudies aren't too shabby.

He bats too low for QLD, sometimes at 8, it's ridiculous.
If they had Johnson and Bichel playing he would be batting around number 9. In the past seasons, Noffke and Bichel used to bat ahead of him.
Yeah he is a good kid

not bad stats, trust me he is left headed and a solid bat and solid keep.
Chris Harltey everyone is the next adam gilchrist, hasnt played much for qld because of secombe but he got a game last year cause of an injury to secombe and scored a hundred on debut in the pura cup plus his keeping was supberb. Look Out for HIM.

He should have at least had one go at Test level.Does anyone know what Chris Hartley's Sheffield Shield dismissal record is? I was sure he surpassed Darren Berry in his final season, but Cricinfo seems to think otherwise:

It's unfortunate that he was put behind Manou in the pecking order for the 2009 Ashes tour. He just never had a big season of runs when the opportunities came up.He should have at least had one go at Test level.
