I am curious as to how many footy fans actually appreciate the Great Man for the Champion that he is. It seems that every second person you talk to has something bad to say about him. He is possibly a once in a generation player ala Matthews and Carey. I for one love watching him play as he is the best.

Love watching him play, but not sure if he will ever get to the level he was at a couple of years ago, along with speculation of injury also now not running around with the best ruckman, two other champion and a couple of other extremely good midfielders, who draw a large portion of the attention away.

Not sure how he will go this year, however wish him all the best.

Love him as a player, but the whole trade to Carlton left a bit of a bad taste in my mouth. It felt like he was interviewing clubs, when it should have been the other way round.
I think him interviewing the clubs to see what they had to offer him is the right way round. He is the closest thing on this earth to Godliness.

Loved watching him play, now hes one of ours i reckon i might shit myself everytime hes rested on the bench thinking he's injured...haha

Good to have him at the club though, heres hoping he finds the form hes well known for.

I don't know why everyone made such a big deal about the interviewing of clubs. If J Brown were to leave Brisbane there is no way he would just say trade me back to any Vic club, he would pick, without a doubt as would any other player in the same position.

Probably. But would he hold a press conference every couple of days to rule out an unsuccessful club?

Or would he keep it low key, make the deal and then tell the world about it?

Every single player of reasonable quality who's ever been traded has chosen where he wanted to go rather than just letting his club decide. The whole idea that Judd would've or should've been any different is a theory peddled by the intellectually crippled.

Exactly, as would any other employee when looking to change employers, bit different if you haven't got a job, but if you just want a change you choose and get the best bloody deal you can for yourself.

Judd had choices, as a comparrison Woewodin a few years back, Sampi now, would have almost payed any club to take him and others like Bradley can't negotiate they just go where they are lucky enough to be selected.

Agree. Don't really care for someone that leaves the club they captain purely for $$. Hard to hate watching him play though.

Excuse me?

If you actually think Judd left West Coast for money, your opinion on anything, not just football matters, is null and void.

Are you not aware that the club was an off-field basket-case and he was fed up with being the figurehead of a drug culture?

Are you not aware that he wanted to return home and spend more time with his family?

And, most importantly, Judd would've been able to get virtually the same money at any of the Victorian clubs, so don't really think he chose Carlton just for the cash. I'm pretty sure that Collingwood/Essendon/Melbourne would've tried their best to pay him what he deserves.

Judd leaving West Coast for the money = dumbest comment ever.

Couldn't blame him for doing some due diligence on the clubs that he wanted to play for. Just seemed it was always going to be between Collingwood and Carlton. Still, gotta respect the bloke for the on-field gun that he is.

If that is the case i agree but i have the feeling he was always going to Carlton and this whole due diligence stuff was just to get as much money as he could.

I respect him as a player as he is a gun but don't like the bloke off field. He sort of went against everything he said and is either boring or up himslef (can't quite work out which it is).

So explain to me how the whole process was to get as much money as he could? I'm pretty if he'd chosen Essendon he'd be on virtually the same money.

He's obviously on very big money, and deservedly so, but I can't see how all the other clubs wouldn't have been in the same ball park.

Maybe he chose Carlton because with our last 6 years of pathetic, pathetic performance, we've been given lots of quality young kids and he wants to lead the club out of the wilderness to greater riches, which would be an undoubtedly rewarding experience. I really don't see how the money is relevant when the contracts offered by other clubs would have only been marginally different.

Don`t care either way anymore. I would have been pissed if he had decided to stay and we had paid him as much as Carlton ended up paying.

as some have said, love watching him play but as chris judd the person..well dont really think highly of him.

It's funny how Carlton fans are suddenly experts on Judd and the Eagles. The fact is, you know nothing about Judd. You nothing about the Eagles. You know nothing about West Australia.

I could destroy every one of your silly comments but it has been done to death. Move on. Keep telling yourself how wonderful Carlton is and stay in your ignorant wilderness.

I used to enjoy watching him play but now every time i see his giant egg shaped head i want to kick it in......Sell-out:thumbsdown:

But that said i will still enjoy watching the equal best (J.Brown) player in the comp play:thumbsu:.....But i hate him as a person:thumbsdown:
