pies 1st pick, and two players from the follwing group [lonie, rusling, cox, harry, egan]

my view is that WC need the foward, pies need the mid-fielder and the blues need defenders[that are young] carlton leak points like a v8 drinks petrol. they need good reasonable age defenders or young players and pick to get them.

other option is we give the toasters pebbles, which im not happy bout doing.
personally i preffer we target charmen or brogan in the trade week, coz judds a pipe dream

This is EXTREMELY hypothetical!!

But I would say what do the eagles need? They want forwards & they would need to replace Judd in the centre. So we would be looking at giving up our best young forward - Cloke, a midfielder like Swan plus a pick.

Would we be a better side? For a year or two only.
Would it win us a flag? Don't think so unless he has an unbelievable year.

Never going to happen.

Here is an interesting question though: Would West Coast take Riewolt in a straight swap?

why would u trade a guy who can win u a few flags for a guy that my only win u 1. judd is not the be all end all. he is a great player probably the best ever but he looks so good for one reason, dean cox. hes be developed with cox at his side ever since he debuted. u just dont know how he would fit into a club without such a dominate ruckmen.

OK, no one suggested trading Pendles. I would kill who ever traded him if he was traded. I said we would need a player if the same CATAGORY or Thomas or Didak to trade for Judd. I DID NOT say we SHOULD trade them. Pendles and Thomas are the next Nathan Buckley's of the club. We should not trade them AT THE MOMENT. As for Didak, he is a great player BUT if a offer for Didak and Medhurst for Judd etc. came up I would do that. We are talking about players like Lonie, Didak, Medhurst, and Richards here. No one mentioned trading Pendles or Thomas.

Actually, that wouldn't be a bad trade for us. Clement probably has 3 seasons left in him and Davis is useful but could be replaced. We would already get a 1st round pick this year, so we would just need to trade for one (maybe a deal involving trading a couple of middle tier players).

Somehow I think WCE would want more than that and we wouldn't give that much up anyway.

the last thing they would want is more midfielders, they have more than enough with kerr cousins priddis fletcher braun rosa embley steinglein and if needed to play mid, nicoski jones or wirrpanda........ they have no need for pendlebury or thomas

In all seriousness, WCE would have to dream of having a very dangerous forward in Didak running around to help with their forward line probs. Id hate to see Alan go but if the club could make a huge stance and use it to land a big fish (with draft picks). Could be a win-win!

if the draft is as bad as everyone sez wc r gunna want players or very high draft picks.I think the bottom 4 sides plus the saints are more chance with their picks.They can afford high draft picks and a very good player/s because the only way is up.Its been a long time since the pies have had the depth and I would keep that than lose great talent.Their is an old saying that rings true A TEAM OF CHAMPIONS WILL NEVER BET A CHAMPION TEAM.So lets keep building that team,they seem to be recruiting well so have a bit of faith, they seem to be heading in the right direction.If they can teach marty clarke how to play footy then the club must be doing something right.I believe the club has done the right thing in having Alan richardson and Brad scott with their teachings it seems to have the right desire.
