Was interested to hear Sticks say that finals performances count toward the B & F. Murph must be pretty close to snagging it if so.

No trade value, would get nothing for him. Delist ASAPtrade..
An objective measure of consistency:
Was voted in our best 5 in:
65% of matches in 2009.
80% of matches in 2010.
54% of matches in 2011.
Many claim it's been his best season in Navy Blue this season but I just haven't seen it. If Murphy does not win our best and fairest I'll be shocked.
God some people have short memories. Last three weeks undoes his brilliant season? He was pretty much unstoppable in the first 15 games.
Lock the thread.
No he wasn't. In a 7 game period between rounds 7 and 14, he only polled 5 votes on the Carlton board. In comparison, Murphy polled 25.
In fact, he was only deemed BOG once in the first 15 games of the season, 2nd BOG twice, 3rd BOG twice. Murphy 5 times BOG and thrice 2nd BOG, 3rd BOG thrice.
As much as we love him, 5 times in our best 3, in the first 15 weeks of the season, while a great achievement for most, is below par for Judd.
Granted he had an excellent five week period following where he was our best in 4 of 5 games, but take out that period and its 21 games for the solitary BOG and 5 times in our top 3. Looking at it objectively, he's had a quiet season by his standards, with a short period of dominance, not the other way round.
And before you reply, of course it's all relative when discussing Chris Judd. Even a quiet season from him is a fair bit better than what the majority can produce.
Voted too harshly on this board? He was voted our best in both 2009 and 2010. Not judged harshly at all.Oh please, a quite season my arse. 2011 is the best season Judd has played for Carlton. It is bad enough all the shit he cops on the main board, however to suggest he had a quite season is just Bull shit. If the season ran from Round 22 to last nights final (4 games) then yes Judd had a very quite season and a poor finals series by his standards, not disputing that.
To back up your claim by saying carlton board votes back this up is ridiculous, you only have look at what players have received votes in some of the games on this board to back up this claim. People have there favorites and vote accordingly. Fact is Judd is voted too hard on this board. As if he was BOG in one of the first 15 games only, you got to be joking.
What a bizarre thread.
The magical 24 touches mark.
It reads like KissStephanie's work.
Judd had 22 touches against Geelong running with one ankle, yet you're still bagging his work against the top four.
Just a lazy 35 touches against Collingwood.
Great players are down for a month because they're carrying an injury they can manage. Ratten's not going to give the media anything and take away from the opposition's efforts. God knows how everyone overreacts to Carlton picking players who aren't 100%.
Bizarre thread.
Have a feeling Goodes will mow him down late in the Charlie.![]()
He's still not getting a chop out from his teammates, but for a different reason I feel.
If Judd gets the bulk of the attention, then Murphy gets away. Murphy's disposal is better at the moment so he is the main one we want freed up. Having said that, Murphy seems to be playing smarter and is finding it easier to get free of any tag.
They need to get Judd out of the stoppages when this is occurring as he was not effective in even getting first hands on the ball due to being held out of it constantly. If he is no longer going to be protected by the umpires, it is up to his teammates to fight for him or Ratts to put him on another line.
.....but gets far less attention.murphy is now a better player and had a better year
Judds best work is his clearance work, I dont think moving him to the wing when players like Simpson play it much better
We need to block a little better and he probably needs a rest. Other than that what can we do? If the opposition wants to have somebody hanging off his shoulder all game, we need to make them pay through using our other mids better. Murphy can easily cut teams up who worry about Judd too much
