He's miles off his best, but had some really important touches when the game was in the balance. Some classy plays to get the ball moving forward to advantage when it looked like Collingwood were gonna come streaming home. Don't know what Mumbo Jumbo's talking about. Judd was pretty important tonight.

His kick looks awful though, no penetration whatsoever when kicking for distance, but was able to pinpoint a few passes to teammates, so he did the important stuff well. Sure he isn't carrying a groin injury along with the shoulder?

Mumbo jumbo by name, mumbo jumbo by nature.

Brilliant. How clever of you . Perhaps you or someone else could counter my argument with any evidence or detailed argument at all? Didn't think so. Lame.

"try and watch the game before you post herp derp".

yeah i did and that was my opinion douchebag. didn't think he had much of an impact and was more of a third link than influencing the game directly through turnovers or brillant play.

Thought he was brilliant when it counted and played all over the top of Swan.
Thought Yarran would be considered a "third link" tonight (but his influence was still huge).
Judd was, for mind, the most influential player on the ground.
Robinson may have got it but too many turn overs hurt him.
Yarran and Betts were important but only got involved at very specific times (albeit important times).
Carrazzo also could claim to be BOG.
But I'd still favour Judd for his clearance work and great passing tonight.

Oh - OK.

You did see the game - you just didn't understand it. Thanks for clarifying.

Will watch again tomorrow and give a dot-point review of each possession. Happy to be wrong but was my impression that he linked well in disposal-chains, but played his role without adding or subtracting much to the game.

Geez it's a damn shame that the Blues don't follow Collingwood with Essendon this week; don't you think?

You have no0 arguement ...just a very ignorant opinion ..Judd was sensational against the Pies and his efforts went a long way towards Carlton winning the game .

Only a complete moron would suggest he wasn't in the best 3 players on the ground .

This was a nothing performance by Judd. It was the last hurray for the old man. The decline started years ago but now it’s clearly evident in failing team where he must carry the burden. Judd has always been overrated. He was never in the same league as Kerr or Cousins but below them; however, he was merely rated highly solely based on his off field personality compared to the bad boys’ image by Kerr and Cousins. Unlike Kerr and Cousins, as Judd got older his ineffective disposal and non-existent football intelligence has started to show while the Kerr and Cousins in the former shell state could still put on clinical football displays. Judd is a like boxer who solely relies on his physical attributes, when his physical prime is over he is nothing. While Kerr for example is a fine wine just gets better than age.

Judd is done and never deserved a brownlow yet alone 2.

Didn't do much in the early stages when Carlton got on top. Only bobbed up and got the disposals when others around him were brimming with confidence. His impact on the game was minimal, despite his possession tally, imo.
Two goal assists, six inside fifties, seven clearances and twelve contested possessions. He had a huge impact on the game as the extractor and running free.

This phrase implies that every possession in the chain is equally important. Judd wins the hard 50/50 ball and fires it out to a teammate in space.

There was one stoppage tonight where he smashed through a collingwood player, picked up the loose ball and was immediately surrounded and tackled by 3 collingwood players. While being tacked he handpassed over his head to a carlton player in five metres of space, on the move. In other words, without Judd there is no 'disposal chain' in the first place.

You must have lost your glasses. You're on the AFL board not the Bay.

Lol, just post 'I'm a moron' next time.

The last time Kerr was a better player than Judd was '05 (and small stages in '06).
Even this year with Judd's poor games he's still been better.
