Why do idiots keep saying Knights is injury prone, maybe use your brain if you have one and actually do some research.

Being injured for 1 seasons does not equal injury prone.

Haha, you do realise that your footy club NEVER get deals done for one reason or another yeh?

Your trading record is incredibly poor.

Also, once you "walk right across to the Doggies", they will just tell you to keep on walking because you have no chance of landing Ryan Griffen.
Don't mistake an unwillingness to trade on our behalf, for a poor trading record. Craig openly dislikes the ideal of trading, terming it the AFL's annual "meat market" and hence our trading policy over the past 5-6 years reflects this.

We don't trade just for the sake of trading, if a player wants out, we'll look to facilitate this, if a player wants in we'll also look into it, or if we see a gaping hole in our list, we'll target a certain type of player. We've had a reasonably balanced list over the past few years, probably lacking only in high end talent, hence we haven't seen a need to just trade willy-nilly.

I think you'll see us get a couple done over this coming trade week, if anything, we don't play hardball enough when it comes to trading. See Hudson/Mattner trades and the responses of many supporters to the compensation we received for them.

for what is worth I believe Knights will sign a new contract with Adelaide, he loves the club and his first preference is to stay at the club, however the sticking point is money.....

so with Bock gone, a host of retirements and Griffen stating that he wants to remain in Melb, I cant see why the club wouldn't give Knights the little bit extra that he is requesting

Im confident that the club and knights will find some middle ground

We're more 'non traders' than 'poor traders'.

We have few players request out, when they do, we get fair value.

Woody will be fine. He's not a 2nd ruckman and as seen last year in the afl when given the resposibilty of being number 1 he preformed and bloody well in saying that.

Woods still a kid and it's fact that the bigger guys take longer to develop. Wouldn't trade wood fo nights. Ruckman are quite rare and hff/midfilders are a dime a dozen. Why would we need nights? He'd be behind, Thomas, the caff, didak, beams and sidebottem playing on a flank and on top of that with the injury problems he's had I wouldn't be willing to give much for him. In saying that I'm sure there are other teams out there with a need for him and would be willing to pay more for him then what collingwood would.

To be fair, we have a top line ruckman named Darren Jolly as a key reason as to why Wood is "languishing in the VFL". Even a bloke named Josh Fraser has struggled to get a game with Jolly's arrival.

Pick 25 may not be enough but Knights is hardly an "A grade player". He had a purple patch for awhile but he has not done it consistently. He is a very good B grade player who could become A grade over time but he ain't there yet.
Why would we go for Woods and Fraser we all ready have a couple of average ruckman, God only knows we don't need any more.

Why is it that every hald-decent player rumoured to be returning to Victoria is linked to Collingwood?

They rarely get their man - see Chalmers, Stevens, Judd...
You do realize that Collingwood did get Chalmers. Back to the books for a history lesson & what constitutes a half-decent player.

Carlton should be interested. Sam Jacobs + our 1st round pick seems like a fair deal.
I think Knights is comfortably worth a first round; but then again, I want him to Captain us.

Carlton's first would be fair in a 'normal' year, but with the GC, throwing a sweetener in would probably be required, and if Jacobs wants to come home, then it's an easy decision.

That said, I'd be throwing a lot at Knights to stay, he's a gun both on and off the field, and I've got no doubt that in the next 2-3 years, he'll be in the Didak/StevieJ kind of quality.

Another outside midfielder? Wow.

Fair deal, in theory. I think Adelaide would like that.
I dunno, is that really going to top the 3rd round pick the Richmond fans think is a fair trade? They're even willing to throw in McGuane or Nahas to get it over the line.

Wrong, the Eagles would be waiting with arms wide open. All you Richmond fans need to get out of this fanasty land your lving in and realise you don't get gun players for nothing in the PSD.
That's why I said front-ended. If a player nominates an amount that they want to be paid before they enter the PSD, clubs can only select them if they are able to pay that amount.
