Big Sticks i reckon he would be a great get. Certainly capable of kicking a few goals as a high forward and also a great midfielder when he is in there. Has had a horror year, which will decrease his value quite abit. He would still be worth a late first rounder or a solid player so he wont be easy to get. Richmond would have to be in the 'box seat'.

Knights is being courted by Carlton, Richmond and Essendon. Is unsettled in Adelaide and strongly considering a move back to Melbourne. Dangerfield now commited to the the Crows so Carlton's attention has turned to this man.

Richmond have offered up some crazy money for him - IMHO he will end up at Punt Road.

Good player, but a similar type to the half forwards we have ATM.

We need a Max Rooke more than we need a Knights.

Robbo is the sort of Rooke-type enforcer we could use a couple more of.....but is Knights much of an upgrade on Hoops?? Or Yarran after another pre-season and some more time in the midfield? (considering what Adelaide would ask for in return). I suppose if you are looking for a 3-5 year window, then a Knights could arguably be more attractive than a first round pick in this draft (given it could be mid 20's).......such a strategy has some potential to backfire too.

Wouldn't be the worst result for us, but honestly as if we would ever trade Gibbs, I'm not sure why so many people would be against us getting Knights, he would compliment our half forward line beautifully with his goal kicking ability, he has a top kick on him and can get onto them from far out, which I think is a weakness in our side, not being able to kick enough goals from 50m out

Different players. Houlihan is our defensive half forward concerned with his opponent more than himslef. If he gets stats and kicks a few its an added bonus.

Knights would be a high HF/wingman capable of kicking 30-35 goals a season and gathering 20+ possesions week in week out. At this stage he would be of more value to us than a few players in the team. He would certainly be in the top 15 at the club.

Long kick, but the reason he's longer in the midfield is because he turned it over more often than not.

Back Line is set. Midfield is close to set.

Forward line needs work.
But we have the smalls for the next 10 years.
We have 1 of our talls.

Outside of Josh Kennedy II, a mid sized forward capable of kicking goals is exactly what we need IMO.

Taking the amount of rumours floated on BF and the amount of trade talks that would happen throughout a season, this has about a 1% chance of happening, but I trust that the club are into him.

Would be a great get. Not getting my hopes up though.

Not a chance. Knights would command far greater. Sauce will almost certainly be at one of the SA clubs next year. If Knights is keen to come, and we figured in trading, Sauce would probably be offered up. Sauce and a late first rounder, very early second rounder may get the job done, if he is walking.

I wasn't thinking straight swap (I wasn't clear about that), but part of a trade. Obviously picks or another player would be involved.
