Wouldn't have been able to say yes quick enough a few seasons ago, but with the run of injuries he's had I'd be against trading anything of real value for him. What would the Crows be looking at taking back for him?

Don't know if he came up in direct discussions with Carlton last year, but at least on here there was plenty of Knights for Andrew Walker talk. Glad it didn't eventuate, has looked really off the pace this year.

Probably worth anywhere between a low twenties to low thirties pick for the right club.

Whilst we are kind of on topic how are crow fans feeling about the Jacobs trade now??? Reckon 33 & 67 is looking on the cheap side for Sauce.

If we went a player we would be pretty hell bent on a midfielder. Either an up and comer or part of a more complex deal for a gun

How on earth would Collingwood fit another senior player into your cap?
lol I'm sure they'd find a way.

Having said that, there was talk Collingwood were into him last year before he re-signed with Crows.

Right now, his value is at its lowest point it has been since his breakout year 2-3 season ago but injuries have hurt him.

Not too sure we'd be keen on him though anyway if he were put up.

When fit and when wanting to play, he's an absolute gun. Was our MIP in 2009 when we made our run at the finals. When he got injured against the Pies in the Semi Final it coincided with us losing momentum.

Obviously his value has dipped since then due to injury and lack of desire, but if he leaves, the other team will get a very good player when fit.

Saints would be losing out on that deal, not by much though.

Possibly. However, I feel Armo is being completly played out of position as Ross only likes to play one main inside mid. Steven has overtaken Armo as that inside mid and thus Armo now plays the majority of the match in the forward line. Its pretty much the same thing that happened to Ball, however Ball would just spend that time on the bench. Especially with Hayes coming back next year (I know he doesn't have that many years to go), its going to be even worse for Armitage.

Sure I'd love to keep Armitage there, as if Steven got injured or Hayes doesn't recover well, we'd need him desperately. But almost for the sake of Armitage's career I'd want him to go to another club to fulfill his potential.

Knights fills a much bigger need for the Saints as running half-forward flanker/goal-kicking mid.

Could be a win-win.

Not a bad idea. I would have thought this was a win for the Saintyers, which means it's probably about right (as homer fans always think the oppsition is getting a better deal).

I also pondered Cale Morton as an option.

Knights for Armitage.
This seems close to the money. A sensible suggestion

From the Dees, one of the other Adelaide posters suggested this:

McKernan and Knights for Tapscott and McKenzie.

To much in favour of Adelaide? If Knights was fully fit and firing, probably not, but he isn't. Would the Crows need to sweeten it? (3rd rounder)

I rate Jordie real high, would be great help for Thommo and fills an obvious gap.

Have liked what i have seen of Tappy so far and is an SA boy...

McKernan could play as the power forward that the Dees lack right now, put Knights on the HFF and receive from Moloney and Sylvia for long 50 meter bombs....
