This seems close to the money. A sensible suggestion

From the Dees, one of the other Adelaide posters suggested this:

McKernan and Knights for Tapscott and McKenzie.

To much in favour of Adelaide? If Knights was fully fit and firing, probably not, but he isn't. Would the Crows need to sweeten it? (3rd rounder)

I rate Jordie real high, would be great help for Thommo and fills an obvious gap.

Have liked what i have seen of Tappy so far and is an SA boy...

McKernan could play as the power forward that the Dees lack right now, put Knights on the HFF and receive from Moloney and Sylvia for long 50 meter bombs....
I too have been wondering the dees supporters opinion of this... i like what mckenzie stands for... but confess that i pretty much know him only as a tackler... does he get much of it? or is a negator?

McKernan and Knights for Tapscott and McKenzie.
Seems like an even trade but it's too unrealistic IMO.
2 players with high currency for 2 players with high currency?
AFL clubs don't take risks like that.

Plus if they lost Scully, they'd be desperate to keep Tapscott and McKenzie.
They've also got Sylvia who is a better version of Knights.

But it fills the needs of each team. Maybe thats where the teams might want to see it happen?

Agreed that Sylvia is better than Knights, but Knights is more a pure HFF, whereas i see Sylvia as a mid who can play forward

Edit: cammo, Jordie isn't the type to get 30 touches, averaging 21 touches a game this year and 5 tackles. Would be perfect feeding it out to the likes of Mackay and Vince

Want.

Dunno what we'd trade though. Cam Wood is obviously gonna be free. :)
Crows wouldn't want Cam Wood, they've done very well with Jacobs who will be a decade long number one ruckman for them.

Unless you are offering midfielders I wouldn't bother knocking on the Crows door this trade period.

I disagree

IMO Knight's is a absolute natural mid who had a purple patch for half a season playing across HF and now this position has been his graveyard

put Knights back in the midfield and you wil see a form reversal

who would I consider for a trade

Sylvia, definitely
Edwards or Thomas, strongly consider

I doubt any Melbourne supporter would go for this.
McKenzie and Tapscott have proven to be at AFL standard already. They will only get better. No way we would give them up voluntarily.

I would love to get Mckernnan. But don't think we would give up anything good enough to get the deal done.

Shane Edwards and a pick upgrade?

Dear Richmond supporters,

We don't care that he's from SA, nobody is going to give up anything of any value for an absolute spud like Shane Edwards any more than you would give up something of value for Jason Davenport or Myke Cook.

Sincerely, Port and Crows supporters.

Shane Edwards would have very little trade value.
I'm not saying he can't play but he's just not what clubs are after. He could be a small sweetner in a deal definitely not the main part of it.

He cannot get a game in a side which is a laughing stock.

Fourth rounder. Will play a few nice games then be realised for the ordinary player that he is

haha. Hasn't he been injured? His best is very good.

In all seriousness we chased him hard last year and got fairly close from what I've been told. Not sure we'd still be after him though given the fact that we have said we will be trading for a ruckman and probably a KPD as well. I could only see it happening if it was a player for player swap and if he desperately wants out...

I hope Carlton either refuse to deal with Adelaide ever again after the Jacobs trade or give them some of their medicine back by 2 fold this year!
All other teams should take note, if there is a side that doesn't trade fairly other than Collingwood it's Adelaide.

They were kind enough to give us 2 picks for Richard Tambling lol.

Jacobs was your 4th string ruckman. You traded for your 1st string ruckman (Warnock) for pick 24 so you can't say that pick 33 wasn't fair for a 4th string ruckman. It's not Adelaide's fault that Jacobs was actually the best ruckman on your list.

Surrey blue..you wanted a first rounder for Jacobs. Who is unfair?
How's he been going? Ofcourse we knew his value but one team just didn't want to pay market rate when they could hold us against the wall, right?

You sir have no idea. Have a look at ruckman trades throughout the comp. Most trades have been in-between 10-20's ie. Wood.
The fact we have 3 ruckman on our list is irrelevant to market value, age and output of Jacobs.

Really ?

Take those biased tinted lenses off and look at our trading history over the last 5 years. Weve been nothing if not accommodating when looking at picking up other players

Be happy with what you got for Jacobs, coz you werent going to get anything more. Fact is had he stayed he'd be playing VFL and wouldve left for free anyways.

Back on topic, i dont mind knights and i recon he could be of some value to a couple of clubs. I disagree with the dee's, theyve got pettard, bate, sylvia etc that can already play that role. I'd see essendon as a good option still
