Chris Langford if apparently stepping down as an AFL commissioner.
Don't know what to think about this, I did like the idea of having a Hawthorn person on the commission.

I'm sure Chris is doing this so he can get to Hawthorn matches and see his sons play.

As opposed to being forced to attend crap "blockbuster" games involving "Big 4" teams at the bottom of the ladder ...

I second that, has done upper echelons in corporate life and been on the AFL commission, with playing at the highest level and his network at the top end of town, both Melbourne/Sydney would be a positive to the Hawks board - dare I say future El Presidente?

Apparently the Sydney Swans recruiters wanted to watch Lachie Langford's highlights tapes only to find they were actually the long lost Cyril Rioli draftee highlights tapes.

Rumour is Kieren Jack never registered for any of the AFL, pre-season or rookie drafts but somehow Sydney were still able to select him with their LAST pick in the rookie draft the year he was drafted.

To add to that he and his father claimed they had put in the registration papers but "they must have been lost in the post". They signed a stat dec to back it up but given those papers likely never existed and it's impossible to prove they didn't send them they have got away with it.
