If true, it is interesting.

Most pies fans don't want him but we would love to beat Richmond to any signing.

Tigers are keen on doing deals to change the perception they are poor trade period performers.

Seriously though why the * would Richmond care how they are perceived as trade performers?

Richmond have Riewoldt, a few lumbering lummoxes like Griffiths, and a bunch of medium-smalls in their forward line.

Mayne would fill that third-tall type forward that Richmond seem to lack. (He's only 188, but he seems to "play taller" than that).
