He was interviewed very briefly in an obligatory interview that a club captain cannot avoid. Simply said that he was getting impatient in regards to finals.
I want to know that these players are unsatisfied without playing finals and not content to retire financially secure and able to visit the clubs bubble in the future where legends are blokes who have hardly tasted finals.
I see Jack Riewoldt on the footy show and think to myself, Play a final first and then sit next to Jonothan Brown on the footy show. Newman is a shrinking violet next to him. In Reiwoldt I see a bloke more likely to make it about himself.
Cant help what the media focus on. If they want that answer then there are questions where you cannot avoid that type of answer.
BTW - If or when we make finals, I hope that someone else is ready to take over as he is not the man who stands up in these games. I think people are confusing the fact that he does not really impart himself on big games with his off field handling of captaincy. The first I find flat and uninspiring, the second is impeccable.
