The bloke who asks these questions is pretty good. Nice deep radio voice too

Interesting to hear him nominate Dea and Jakobi as possible replacements

He's the one guy I really want to see get a few games before year's end. Spoken highly of in the Coburg report, I know he's just come back from injury but hopefully we can see him play a few before 2011s done. Promising kid.

Sounds a dead ringer to Liam Bartlett over here in the west, was at the ABC for ages then got a gig with a commercial station.

I'm guessing the host has a great head for radio also ..:D

hi guys - quick one.

regretably i cant view the youtube item on this thread. your 'who's captain' thread suggests newman only out 1 week - is that right ?

been a great part of my SC team all year and dont wanna trade out if i can avoid it.

I traded him in for Shaw 2 weeks ago :(

Sounds totally up in the air, they're just going to wait and see, no predictions given in that video.

My guess is they will play it totally safe. So if he takes til Rd 23 or 24 to get to around 100%, I reckon they will put him in cotton wool for the year.

RICHMOND
Fresh from the bye, the Tigers face a major challenge as they head to Perth on the weekend to meet the in-form Eagles. Chris Newman has been ruled out for at least a month with a knee injury, while Jayden Post, Tom Hislop, Jeromey Webberley and Mitch Farmer were the best players for Coburg in the VFL.

Does this mean he's out for a month from the injury date (injured Rd18 - return Rd22) or from now (return Rd 23-24)?

Supposedly back Rd 24, I doubt they'd even bother.

I hope the medical team can do all they can to get Newy back for that critical last round clash against the Roos.

Very, very important game that one.

Yeah, despite the fact I brought him in to my SC team for Shaw, and will now begrudgingly trade him out, I still want to see him come back for a couple games at the end. I'm just not sure if the footy dept will see it that way. If there's any possible risk, I think they'll put him in cotton wool, and take the chance to give guys like Dea more of a go. I see they placed Asbury on the LTI list yesterday, so must be looking to promote a rooky, probly O'Reilly I'm guessing.

Would really love to beat the Roos twice in a year. But I see the pro tanking gurus are already out in force in other threads
