Interesting observation.

There were a couple of others, immediately after they game, who said they saw clear disharmony on the field.

That's a worry.
Also i base this on nothing other than a gut feel... but something isn't right
Blokes aren't helping each other, heads are down... they look like they don't want to be there

I have no idea what is going on or what is causing it... or if I am even just seeing something that isn't there...

You're right...I made it up
.

Ok fair enough , I will take your word for it

Who were the players that were yelling at him ?
Who was his opponent that he wouldn't get close too and took marks ?
When did this happen ?

I have the game recorded so I want to check this out.

Disharmony? Doubt it. When systems fail I expect the players to challenge each other and not bottle it up.

We are reading way too much into all of this. Geelong is in a slump. It happens. It was expected to happen in the early rounds.

Something has changed. We have no system, no work ethic, no endeavor and there's no willingness to work hard for each other.

It appears as though we believe our own publicity and think it'll happen rather than doing our utmost to ensure it does.

It's a common occurrence under Scott... It's not a talent issue.

Also, I keep saying it but we ******* handball way too much... more handballs than kicks on the weekend and often putting teammates under pressure.

And that was the observation I made Sunday. If your team mates need to tell you to get into position, or help out (and you can hear everything from Row A level 1) then somethings amiss. I'm not saying there's player disharmony, we just aren't that type of club, but there's definately some blokes coasting of the hard work of others ATM and it's not going unnoticed

Now I get Dangerfield is a match winner, and very explosive going towards goal, but when he didn't have the ball and he's standing across half back, he has to work harder. He didn't Sunday!
Off the top of my head here is a list of players who Danger worked harder than v Carlon:

Selwood
Motlop
Murdoch
Smith
Blicavs
Caddy
Duncan
Smelts
Gregson
Lonergan

I feel exactly the same way.

Nothing definitive, just an intangible vibe that all is not well below the surface.

It's just a vibe.

Like Willo said, something just doesn't seem right. The body language doesn't ring true, and the boys have stopped working for each other.

Hopefully just our hallucination.....

Can't argue with that, and I did say it was a minor observation, and taken in isolation, but very obvious because it happened right in front of me on at least a couple of occasions.
You don't need to get overprotective of Dangerfield because I saw something that maybe makes your hero less of a superman in your eyes

Maybe I can start a running tally:

When we win

- Simon Lloyd has made a massive difference
He may have. His influence would be hard to measure externally. I think everything goes back to the senior coach, though.

- Dangerfield is carrying us
This has been true to an extent whether win or lose. Dangerfield has assumed the same role Selwood has had for years of being our primary midfield mover. Him having a down day more so correlates with the team doing poorly because we're so over-reliant on him.

- Anyone could coach this team
Typically only an argument made about the 2011 team, though you'd expect better results from this team based on the personnel in the side.

When we lose

- Scott shouldn't have picked Player A over Player B
Poor selection decisions have been made in games that we've won, too. They just get glosses over if you win, much like all the worrying signs in the first several rounds.

- No Plan B
This is true, though some would take issue with the term. In general, I think Scott is a poor gameday coach. If what they set out to do doesn't work in the first 10 minutes, then it usually means the game is lost.

- 'Mission Accomplished'
Dumb comment. Will haunt him unless he can be successful again.

- Smug and arrogant
Win or lose, he is.
- Remember when Scott didn't pick West in that Qualifying final??
Well if you don't enjoy winning premierships...

Me 3. It is hard to otherwise fathom how things can go belly up in such a short time. Spirit definitely seems lacking.
Look at the way the boys stood shoulder to shoulder during and after the Port game. We all thanked Port for hastening the bonding of the side.

Now they seem disinterested in each other. Could be reading more into it than's there, but it just doesn't look or feel right.

Just want to point out one small thing I noticed Sunday, , that is what I think is systematic in the team at the minute, and in isolation very minor, but collectively it s hurting us
At the Carlton kick ins, and I was very close to the play (front row, level 1 aisle 10) at least 3-4 times I heard Geelong blokes screaming at Dangerfield to get closer to his opponent at the kick ins, and on each occasion he ignored his team mates and let his opponent get a cheap mark, and run the ball out of the defensive 50 with ease. The old bloke sitting behind me actually stood up and shouted at him to listen to his mates and to stop being so selfish.
As I said a very minor thing, but if blokes are ignoring each other on other parts of the ground, and not working hard enough for each other, then it goes part of the way to explain why Carlton was winning so much space and freedom to run
But we have allowed the first possession from the kick in for years now, that's not new.
